Just because the Brewers are in jail doesn't mean it's a paradise now. A lot more crime, skanks and sleeze. The Former St. Trooper of Logan county I know says that stuff like that is common. So if you like a place like that, move there. We don't want it here.
Compared to Logan county, Summers County is a paradise!!
Well, having been born and raised in Logan County I feel I'm more than qualified to say that compared to Logan County Summers county is about 40 years behind! LOL

And having live in very large cities where strip joints were EVERYwhere, such as Fayetteville, NC, I can also tell you that it wasn't the areas around the strip joints where the crime took place and skanks hung out.

Perhaps you should get out more. You could learn a few things.

I don't know who your trooper friend was, but there was very little crime around the strip joint in Logan because of it's location.

And who the hell are the Brewers?

Were you in fayette"nam" when Hays Street was strip bars all the way down both sides of the street? The "7 D's" really had some fine ladies!!!!!!!!!! But of course Rick's always had the more popular dancers--I ran into a few of them during some of my worldly travels.
I don't recall any crimes around the strip bars-Just a G.I. too drunk to make it back to Bragg or Pope on his own. Most if not all strip bars don't want any problems around them, they tend to have a good working relationship with the local police.

There's not going to be one because of the county ordinance.

Couples still fight without strip clubs. PLUS I'm not part of a couple so I'd like one close to go to.

And as for who would work there, it doesn't matter. Beauty is in the eye of the BEER holder. HA!

I have to pay enough for beer, and have to see enough nasty women in this town. Please let's not combine the two.

Like I said: not going to be one. But even if there were, it's not like you'd be FORCED to go! "Exotic dance" (LOL) clubs aren't for everyone but some of us enjoy them.

What I miss about the ones I used to go to is the energy of the dancers. I have to admit too, that I like the topless clubs better than the all nude clubs.

But as I was saying, I miss the energy of the dancers. They used to actually MOVE on stage. Now they just walk around, roll around on the floor, and barely move. They dance to slow songs.

The way it used to be (and it still may be at some clubs) the dancers would have 3 song sets: 2 fast; 1 slow. They'd dance to Stevie Ray Vaughn's "Look at Little Sister" (my ex's favorite to dance to); She's My Cherry Pie; songs like that.

Hell I used to go to Rick's in Fayetteville and there was one dark haired dancer there that would SWING from the second floor balcony on a rope and land on you LAP in your chair!

Being from Atlanta, I saw firsthand what happens after strip joints go up. The violence did get worse, especially in the Stewart Avenue, and Fulton Industrial Boulevard areas. I've had friends that were bouncers at a few cool, classy type joints, those are allright. What about The Chippendale's coming to town? ;D

friends don't let friends go to strip clubs in hinton, wv.

it's just not a good thing.

maybe if everyone got VERY VERY drunk before they went, it'd be okay.

but you'd have to be borderline comatose to enjoy what h-town has to offer.

I have gone to one strip club in my whole life. Saw a girl I went to highschool with working there. I said "small world" and never went back.

I would imagine it would be a lot of local girls. I hope they would have more respect for themselves then to shake what the have or don't have for a few dollars and lude comments

You'd be surprised at how few local gals would work there. As for the respect thing, it's a matter of opinion whether working as a dancer is disrespecting one's self. Would you consider a Vegas Showgirl as disrespecting herself? Are models who make a living off their looks and bodies disrespecting themselves.

Are women who go topless on beaches disrespecting themselves?

The way I see it, if you're happy doing what you're doing and you're not harming anyone, do what you want. To me it's more disrespectful to one's self working at a job you're not happy with. Then you're doing harm to yourself.

The dancers that are up on that stage because they enjoy it have a lot of respect for themselves. And don't forget, there's the whole supply and demand thing. If they're disrespecting themselves then the guys and girls that go to watch the show are disrespecting themselves as well.

Do you go out to a lot of dance clubs? The only difference between females dancing in night clubs and dancing in strip clubs is the females in the night clubs have a few more clothes on...at least until they get drunk and start flashing everyone. They dance the same, dress very similar in most cases, and get drinks from men. There's very little difference between the two.

Not all dancers are hookers. More aren't than are. And what's wrong with "legal" prostitution? Prostitution shouldn't be illegal any way. There's no crime being committed there.
People pay for sex one way or another any way whether it's dinner and a movie or supporting a spouse.
If women have to go to a strip joint looking for their men, then perhaps they're with the wrong men. If the men are going to go to a strip joint, they're gonna go no matter where it is.
Some people like to frequent these types of establishments. It's a shame the county doesn't permit them. They're a good source of tax revenue just like any other business.
More strip joints and fewer churches around here just might help this place expand!
Help this place expand into what-more trash. You are warped!
