Considering the area, you might go check out "Faces of Meth". Skin disorders are very common with Meth use. I don't think it has hit Hinton yet, new to our country, but Krokodil (from Russia) is a very nasty, flesh eating drug. Google it. Very scary stuff!

Honestly local law enforcement ie Gary wheeler and worley r a lot of reason for most of hep c in area in about 02-03 they went around to all the pharmacies and told them not sell needles without prescription or else pretty much all areas in us excluding Wv Va and ky parts anyway have exchanges where u give the used ones the give u new makes the inconciderate assholes who throw em out in parking lots hold on to them for trade in plus reduces spread of diseases north Carolina in some city's like Charlotte has trucks similar to ice cream trucks that go all around taking used ones and handing out new
I am amazed at how people stand up for for such immoral behavior. Does it not sound so retarded that where we used to have the ice cream truck come through the neighborhood but now we have the "clean needle truck"
that comes through. Drug addicts need to get their shit straight and smarten up...they cause their own demise!
Quit blaming their habit on other people. If they are stupid enough to shoot crap into their bodies or snort foreign substances up their nose then they deserve what they get. I get so sick of the stupidiness in this world. Grow up and get off your ass and go to work and then you wont have time to snort, shoot, or act stupid! Its not Gary's job to hand out clean needles to junkies that the working public has to pay for! Instead of needles, hand them a one way ticket to the rehab center!

Just read these threads and I want to tell you that it is you that sounds stupid. You think you are so wonderful but your IQ must be low. We have yet to solve the problem of drug addiction and until we do solve it we need to make sure addicts have clean needles. Maybe you are not addicted to drugs but I bet you are addicted to something like food or feeling superior.

I don't feel superior to anyone! My point is that its the same old faces in Hinton popping the pills and shooting the drugs but not one of those faces have I ever seen walk up to me and ask for rehab help! BUT they have no problem walking up to me asking for money to buy more drugs! There is not one person, except law enforcement, doing anything to solve the drug problem. People in the community are afraid of walking down the street past the dope heads let alone get out and try to reform them! Solve the problem and then you wont need to hand them needles! What a crock!

I not paranoid about hep c, I dated a woman for yrs with it and did not use sexual protection. We were ca reful with razors, tampons, and other blood contaminated products. That is about the only way to get it from another person. I would not hesitate to date or marry a woman with hep c if we otherwise got along. But some people do have skin symptoms particularly on the face and lower legs. Check some of these people wearing gouchos sometime.
Not saying this to be mean and glad you are not prejudice toward others but I wouldn't share publicly that you are having unprotected sex with hep c women. It tends to show lack of respect for yourself, and it says to me that you are lacking in judgement of your sleeping companions. Don't jeopardize your life literally for pleasure! You can be with that person but do it without taking the sexual risk! Just saying.....

law enforcement isn't doing anything but putting people in jail causing more theft and making it to where people who r addicted have no choice but to go straight back when they get out and I do work probably more in a WK than u do in a month and I've been almost everywhere in continental us and in Mexico and areas where they focus on drugs have much higher rates of theft and violence than those that pick there fights and drug use is a problem because it is illegal so cheer for the millions they spend locking people up and tell me how u feel when u get robbed rt after a bust cuts the price doubled for 6 wks til 10 dealers replace the 6 they busted

Hep C generally causes elevation of liver enzymes this could cause skin eruptions secondary to the livers normal function be altered.Juandice or yellowing of skin and/or whites of the eye would occur as bile builds up in the blood. The bile salts are disposed of by the sweat glads causing severe itching, scatching causes sores they get infected and permanent scarring occurs. If a person developes this kind of salts(frosts)on the skin a mild vinegar/water solution will alieviate the itch better than any cream or salve.Simple exposure to sunshine will deminish jaundice of the skin by breaking down the billirubin build up in the blood.

vinegar solution is good for a lot and I can see it helping. For itching witchhazel may help.

I wanted to add that it is virtually impossible to catch hep c from another person except direct blood contact

First let me say that I work 40 plus hrs per wk and I don't have any addictions. I don't look down on others...I actually have a kind heart for others as long as they try to be self sustaining and work hard toward a goal. I think you have to raise the standards for people so they challenge themselves to do better and go further in life. If you always approve of someone selling or doing drugs then that is all they probably are going to do in life. You have to encourage and be a role model to help people want to change. You can't continually hand someone a needle and expect them not to use it. I say replace that needle with something to encourage them to turn their head in a different direction. Every person has something that they would like to do whether a hobby or dream that they would like to pursue. I just get frustrated that no one ever seems to want to change when they get headed down the road of drugs. When I lived in Hinton, it was a booming little town with hard working family oriented people. Now, it just seems so depressing to see how it's ended up. What does it take to change peoples mindset that is hooked on drugs?
