It can be done, and you are at an important time of your life to do just that. The older you get the less time you have to start anew and the more your body is harmed. Getting old is no fun for everyone, but it helps if we are healthy and happy. You'll never stay happy by continuing using drugs. And you'll never find that ultimate high that we all search for. There are no miracle drugs. The best helping hand you'll ever get is at the end of your arm.

Peace and prayers for your recovery. It's worth it!

That's awesome! It's a lot easier to acquire a habit and addiction then it is to eliminate it adapt to the lifestyle changes. I've known lots of people that had various addictions from alcohol to scrips to meth and other common street drugs. Many of these people are dead, and they weren't very old. Some got clean and turned their lives around. Some are doing time again and again. Others are stuck in years and decades of the same rut. Only thing is, the rut keeps getting deeper and eventually getting out of it is nearly impossible. And their losses of friends, family, jobs, reputation, and any future at all is devastating. I prefer freedom!

I applaud you for caring about your family and yourself enough to see you are more important then any drug. God bless!

Dog see those last post, that should be enough motivation to at least try. Your not alone and folks will see u doing good, ull have a few thats doubt ur sobritey. I was always told stay away from using friends that didnt work for me.be the guy that influences the using friends by saying no i dnt need it. The true tesy is being around it and not have that want to do them.when i was using i couldnt find a job making more than 9 an hour but after being clean im now a licensed nurse, making over 20 an hour. Im handle meds all day including morphine and oxy. Not one time have i took one for myself. Taking just one could ruin my life, but trust me its well worth the journey, it will be hard, but if it wasnt everybody would be clean. Goodluck, and dnt give up..

Thanks 4 the support,I know im not the only one in this situation but for me its either dope or my girlfriend and being alone sucks.Im tired of living day by day,its a life I wouldn't want young children today to grow up around.I feel sorry for the next generation of kids who have to deal with the problems we created.I can barely remember the last time I went out and really had fun,,used to be into nature and hunting,I was always in the woods or at the river, but ever since I really got on drugs I don't really ever socialize with friends anymore, now when you talk to them,it's like hello you got anything today. It's things like that from my past that INSPIRE me to want to change.I hope for my soul that I succeed.Like I always say Move,Confront,Challenge, and Prevail!!!

Sorry to disappoint you disappointed,I have never used a needle,I promised myself long ago if I ever got that bad I would seek some help.So far it's just pills and pot for me,this stuff is so hard to get off in summers county. We need help here where we all live not just in Beckley and Lewisburg. But I don't care, I will PREVAIL in the end because in whats left of my heart I WANT IT THAT BAD.If I fail to be HONEST I don't know if I can take another loss right now.I spend most of time recently regretting what my life has become. Its like my own little version of purgatory.I don't want none of this lifestyle anymore.I just want out plain and simple, but we all know it aint that simple.

Here are some resolutions for other people: TO THE PENTAGON GENERALS- I resolve NOT to get a book deal. TO PSY-I resolve to talk to Billy Ray Cyrus & Los Del Rios about that 16th minute. TO BLACK & LATINO PEOPLE- I resolve to STOP wearing that garbage Yankees cap; I'm sick& tired of seeing them everywhere. TO HONEY BOOBOO- I resolve to stop being a tiara girl. TO DANCING WITH THE STARS- I resolve NOT to have another All-Star season aka we want fresh contestants for the new season in March. TO CONGRESS- I resolve to extend laws months before they expire & NOT at the last minute.
