I'm curious if there's currently a coven in Hinton, and assuming not, how many people would be interested in joining one

Christianity =/= coven. I've been dealing with people trying to shove religion down my throat forever. If you understood the **actual** origions of that legend, you wouldn't be so quick to use that to try and convert someone who does.

Nope. I'm on here for information, not to inform people that SHOULD be perfectly capable of looking these things up.

There are several covens here but the way to Truth cannot be found with them. Truth can be found if you open your eyes and if listen with your heart...putting aside prejudices, hurts and anger....and religion aside. Real Truth comes through relationship. The gods of paganism and wicca are false realities. They lead to a dark path that you can never escape from alone...but there is One who calls to you today who can show you the Truth and not through the lens of religion. I was wicca for 17 years until Love entered my life. The realization of a Love that would die for me so I could know the Truth....not having a dead religion shoved down my throat, or a false god-that-worships-creation-rat her-than-the-creator...but a living God who loves me, who loves you...and is waiting to show you the Truth. If you want to know more, come to The Ministry Place on 2nd Avenue. Open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.

A voice: You just undid your own argument. Saying you can't view the world through the lens of religion, then turning around and saying "worship my god instead of yours" is kinda pointless.

I can assaure you, no one is shoving this religion down my throat, and assuming it's dead is ignorance on your part. I can stop practicing it whenever I'd like, so I'm not sure why you're trying to make it seem like some cult I'm bound to forever.

I have been told that there are several groups/covens out here in Hinton. Getting conected to them I think is a little more dificult.
I am a Pagan, and I am not tied to any of the covens. I think the best time would be this Beltane if you would like to see more people of our kind. If you would like to talk, let me know. I think we could work that out.

Relationship is not religion. You can't have a relationship with false god or goddess who don't exist. All creation points to one Creator who wants relationship with us. Wicca and paganism is a darkness that you will not be able to quit on your own. It will lead into a darkness that you cannot escape from.....a darkness that will last for all eternity. There is only one way out and that is through relationship with the One who died for you so that you can be free. It is not a religion or even a spiritual path...but a relationship.

Actually, A Voice, the bond formed through a relationship can't be defined. One can have a relationship with a cat, or even a favorite toy.(As some children have safety blankets, etc)You can have a relationship with anything.

Threats of eternal darkness, etc etc, is all religion and spiritual paths. A relationship shouldn't threaten.(Those are abusive, and bad by anyone's standards.)

I'm not seeing how you think all creation points to a single creator. There's no more proof that the christian god exists than there is that posideon exists.(Not saying I worship either, just making a point.)

ALL gods are false realities. If you dismiss one god, it's only logical that you dismiss all gods. If it's possible for one god to exist, then it's possible for all gods to exist.

As Stephan Roberts put it "I contend we are both atheists, I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."

to the parents in this community/by not speaking out against these demonic activities and organizations you are putting your stamp of approval on them.they already have a strong foothold in this community and if left unchallenged it will turn from foothold to strong influance, and when your little ones casually let you know one day that they are witchs and pagan dont be surprized, rite now is the time to stomp it out before it takes root.what has happened to this country?where are the men and women of God?gal.ch.6vs.7,8

one... I'm not sure what you think ANYONE would be capable of doing about it. This is a public forum, and anyone can say what they'd like. If your children aren't following the religion you try to force on them, perhaps it's because you act like a zealot about it.

Also, if a student decided to start a Pagan group in the high/middle school, the board would have no choice but to let them meet. Same if they started a Gay-Straight Alliance group. What you don't realize is this: You can have whatever opinion you'd like, but nothing you do can stop us from having/expressing ours.

Really?! The Masons are a Christian sect. I doubt they'd know anything about it. Thanks for the thought though.

I am not looking to join a coven but there are people here like you. Many would like to find more like-minded individuals to practice with and socialize with. As you can see Topix isn't the place to be looking for that. They are critical of those with different beliefs. They may even try to lure you into a dark alley to "burn the witches". You are wasting your time here.

Well, it wasn't a total waste. Despite the occasional ignorant comment, it's been plesant. My email is further up the page if you'd like to email me WOW. Coven or not, socialization and networking are nice.

Yay Athiesm?

Don't get me wrong, I do have my beliefs, but I far prefer the scientific approach to things rather than the religious.
