My lazy butt? I work 2 jobs and have 3 kids to support! By the time I pay my bills pay the outrageous gas prices to get to those jobs and everything else there is no money for new clothes! Everything is going up but the paychecks and I hate to break it to u a 200 dollar clothing voucher doesn't go very far at all! A pair of jeans is almost 15 dollars unless ur lucky enough to catch it on sale. So because my kids have a deadbeat dad that doesn't pay child support and because I put more value in providing a roof over their head and water and power than clothes they should not get any help at all? I pray nothing horrible ever happens to u where ur forced to seek assistance and become one of us "lazy butts" I'd like to see u raise 3 kids and work 2 jobs with no help and all ur family lives more than 400 miles away!
Jen.....AMEN I feel like you are writing my comment for me I know the struggles you speak of because I live them everyday. And your so right 200 will not complete the task of shopping but it's there as assistance. We pay taxes just as well as the apparently uneducated person who sparked yours and mine as well comment to this. Then again he or she may be a deadbeat parent who is behind on support that weaves and bobs through jobs to dodge paying. Keep up the good work Jen, single mom's and dad's ROCK in my opinion:)

I would love to get any kind of assistance but according to society I make to much money. I have three kids that I am raising alone as well and because of societies standards I barley make enough to provide.

All I hear is excuses to get a free handout. My mother worked a job, cleaned houses, did washingironing and babysitting when she could get it to help support us and NEVER took a dime of public relief money. She did however haunt thrift stores, yard/garage sales, etc. to keep us -4 of us- in clean, not new, wearable clothes. She also made sure we went to church every week. I am proud of Mom, she worked hard to keep her head above water and to raise 4 children who use her as a role model for their lives. Then I see you use feeble excuses to TAKE what you can from the taxes we pay. Do you think someday your children will be as proud of you as we are of her? Probably yes as you are raising the next generation of suckers and leeches to our economy which is hanging on for dear life because of TAKERS like you. They will know no better, because of you. Proud of yourself?
Again, get out of this present welfare generation. Takes some pride in yourself. Yes, I do admit you do work, but you're not using your talent, time and money as you should! Use all the excuses you want, it still winds down to you and your inability to be an adult.
Terrible how people bash others on the Internet!!!!! You do not know this person or their situation. Who are you to judge her? She works -

I'm not heartless you POS but I'm tired of working and you little leeches getting all these handouts!
If you can't afford to clothe children don't have them!
I've seen actors like you by working with the public. Too many times it's a young scroungy looking woman trailed by four little kids fathered by four different men with another kid on the way she's paying for their food with her snap card, the young boyfriend slinks around the corner trying to act like he's not with her and he gets his shaving gear, teeth whitening strips and cologne and pays cash for that. Then they all go back to her hud apartment, one big happy family.
Then you hear they are selling drugs and he's abusing the kids.
That's what I'm tired of my tax money being used for!

The casher at Gabes complimented me yesterday after i had purchased my sons clothing for school. She said she was impressed that i spent every penny on my son of the vochure n none on myself. The comment floored me n i stopped what i was doing to look up at her in suprise n say what do u mean? Mothers actually buy thereselves clothes instead of there kids with these? She went on to tell me that 80% of the young ladies using WV vochures for back to school buy there kids maybe one or two outfits n spend all the rest of the vochure on themselves! There needs to be something done to prevent this.. I stood in line broken hearted n havent been able to stop thinking about this since.

No idea, but I'm pretty sure that you have to turn them in by a date in July so it may be too late to try now. Can't hurt to call!

As for home schooled kids getting them - so what? They shouldn't get clothing? Complain about things adults receive but kids can't get enough.

I don't know what country you grew up in, but face the face those things happen here every day. Money is being shipped overseas that could be put to use for our kids.

Yes, I have serious issues with people who would just give in to the system. I see people having children who just want a welfare check. I see fathers who don't live at home so their family gets a check. Is this the American dream?

Be a liberal if you choose and close your eyes to these things. You choose to feel sorry for them which justifies their reasons for not realizing that many of their problems are ones they made themselves.

And yes, I have been in her position. But I dug in and fought for my family to have a better life. If she were honest, I would bet her mother and possibly grandmother did the same thing she's doing. Is that the life you want for these children you are hellbent to protect from people who care as I do? Perhaps if they did feel bad about themselves, they may want to do something to improve their situation.

BTW, ever heard of a paragraph?
I bet your mother is ashamed of the way you treat people after all that church she put you through to be a better man.
