No idea, but I'm pretty sure that you have to turn them in by a date in July so it may be too late to try now. Can't hurt to call!

As for home schooled kids getting them - so what? They shouldn't get clothing? Complain about things adults receive but kids can't get enough.

My lazy butt? I work 2 jobs and have 3 kids to support! By the time I pay my bills pay the outrageous gas prices to get to those jobs and everything else there is no money for new clothes! Everything is going up but the paychecks and I hate to break it to u a 200 dollar clothing voucher doesn't go very far at all! A pair of jeans is almost 15 dollars unless ur lucky enough to catch it on sale. So because my kids have a deadbeat dad that doesn't pay child support and because I put more value in providing a roof over their head and water and power than clothes they should not get any help at all? I pray nothing horrible ever happens to u where ur forced to seek assistance and become one of us "lazy butts" I'd like to see u raise 3 kids and work 2 jobs with no help and all ur family lives more than 400 miles away!

All I hear is excuses to get a free handout. My mother worked a job, cleaned houses, did washingironing and babysitting when she could get it to help support us and NEVER took a dime of public relief money. She did however haunt thrift stores, yard/garage sales, etc. to keep us -4 of us- in clean, not new, wearable clothes. She also made sure we went to church every week. I am proud of Mom, she worked hard to keep her head above water and to raise 4 children who use her as a role model for their lives. Then I see you use feeble excuses to TAKE what you can from the taxes we pay. Do you think someday your children will be as proud of you as we are of her? Probably yes as you are raising the next generation of suckers and leeches to our economy which is hanging on for dear life because of TAKERS like you. They will know no better, because of you. Proud of yourself?
Again, get out of this present welfare generation. Takes some pride in yourself. Yes, I do admit you do work, but you're not using your talent, time and money as you should! Use all the excuses you want, it still winds down to you and your inability to be an adult.

You have some serious issues. you know its a very small portion of your tax money paying for public assistance. Get over it people need help. At least we are in a country where we dont have to see poverty stricken people that dont even have water to drink. Would you lke to see little kids running around the streets w no clothes sick and diseased and starving to death? I understand there are some that abuse the system, but its not fair to label all people that recieve assistance lazy and bash them. Your mother probably did not want public assistance because they treat you like crap and want to know all of your business and try to tell you what to do. I dont understand why you are so passionately bashing people that are just trying to buy school clothes for their kids. At least their parents care enough to take care of them, and humble enough to get help. You know I was raised in a house w 6 siblings by single mother, because our father was an abuser and absent not paying child support. If it wasnt for food stamps we would not have eaten, if not for the small amount of money given for clothing vouchers I would have froze on my 2 mile hike to and from the bus. We got the assistance but I was always the poor kid in school and it was very hard to cope with because kids are very mean and abusive to the poor kids. Even a lot of the teachers treat them badly. I don't know anyone that really wants that for their kids. For me having to go through that I always promised myself that I would not have kids unless I could take good care of them, still yet there are no guarantees in life stuff happens all the time that we are not prepared for. I myself do not recieve assistance and I thank the lord that I am able to support myself and live comfortable. You know when I see the way people treat each other it breaks my heart. I think that no matter what we have to treat people good and try to be understanding. I dont want to have to answer to god for mistreating others and trying to make them feel bad about themselves its just not right. I'd rather my child see me getting food stamps than see me being cruel and judging those less fortunate than myself, kids learn that from their parents and go to school bullying other kids because their parents do it. Why not blame filthy rich people that have absurd amounts of money that they dont need? They would probably treat you like you are on welfare because you dont have the luxuries they do. but no of course not blame the poor people that cant sleep at night because they cant pay their bills or buy their kids that toy they want for christmas. Shame on you for kicking people when they are down.

I don't know what country you grew up in, but face the face those things happen here every day. Money is being shipped overseas that could be put to use for our kids.

Yes, I have serious issues with people who would just give in to the system. I see people having children who just want a welfare check. I see fathers who don't live at home so their family gets a check. Is this the American dream?

Be a liberal if you choose and close your eyes to these things. You choose to feel sorry for them which justifies their reasons for not realizing that many of their problems are ones they made themselves.

And yes, I have been in her position. But I dug in and fought for my family to have a better life. If she were honest, I would bet her mother and possibly grandmother did the same thing she's doing. Is that the life you want for these children you are hellbent to protect from people who care as I do? Perhaps if they did feel bad about themselves, they may want to do something to improve their situation.

BTW, ever heard of a paragraph?

I just think that its important to understand that sometimes no matter how hard you work you still need help. This woman is raising her kids on her own. No family to help and an absent father. Things are a lot harder when you are really on your own. There may be people that have children so they can get assistance but in the long run they will find out it's not worth it. It's not as if they are living a lavish lifestyle. I don't think there are any kids out there that say hey I wanna grow up and live my life just barely scraping by on welfare so I don't ever have to work. I surely didn't.

It just upsets me that you feel like it's okay to talk down to people that you don't know. Especially on something over some clothes for children. Nobody wants to live at the bottom but that's just the way it is. We can't all have the good life. There's just not enough of it to go around.
The government is set up this way so that the filthy rich stay rich and they can sit up there and think they are better than regular hard working people so in turn the hard woking middle class look down on the low class. It's a vicious cycle.
