It's people like "jway" who make me believe the remnants of the Republic Party are mostly uneducated rednecks with the intelligence of a tree stump. I worked next door to a motel where the city was sticking the overflow welfare queens because the housing projects where full or more like too many units destroyed. One morning a guy crawls out the back window of the motel, welfare case worker must have been at the front door.LOL

No they are actualy allowing us to buy food at farmers markets and most health food stores now, and I hardly think the motive for changing the form of our assistance is to protect our feeling at the check out line. Think about it this is just an easier way of keeping track. You can have little books of paper money floating around or it can be a paper free system that actualy allows for better tracking, even of our spending. I have two kids went to school full time while raising my forst and birthing my second who was three by the time I graduated. I have also maintained part time work through it all and survived on four hours of sleep at night. Not every individual on assisatnce is just looking for a free ride.

My former neighbor had kids with 3 different woman and had just got married to another one who threw him out when she found out he had a girl friend. The woman was very well educated and knew his past, got me what she was thinking marrying the jerk.

Yes there are men that are scum and there are stupid woman who mate with them, it doesn't make them entitled to be supported by all their neighbors after they made a poor choice in a mate, it was their choice. The kids should be taken away from them if the woman are that stupid and sent to year round boarding schools and both idiots made to pay child support to the state for as long as it takes to cover the cost of raising their kids in a healthy enviroment which they sure can't provide if they are crying for state aid.

So,( just to be sure Ive got this right) all children of low income and/or low I.Q. parents will be legaly removed from the parents custody at birth, and taken to our local boarding school/ orphanage! There they will be provided with the quality care they so deserve....healthy food, clean clothing, educational toys, church every Sunday.....Each and every need will be met! What fortunate and HAPPY children they will be...And we will remind them often (or whenever they ask about their parents) just how LUCKY they are to have been spared the humiliation of being raised by a stupid mother who fell in love & married the wrong guy and then ALLOWED herself to get pregnant by the jerk!
We will be sure to teach them the difference between good & bad choices( or how to use their HEADS not their HEARTS)...and how to be 100% positive that the person they choose as a mate is a PERFECT MATCH. Well, I guess we can never be sure about that....Maybe it would be better if we assigned a group of people who have ONLY made good choices in their lives, and they can decide who would be perfectly compatible together? What you don't get which is not surpirsing is it would make most people who don't think start to think when the end result of having children they can't even begin to support is no longer being rewarded with help for making some sorry attempt to raise them, just the opposite and they wouldn't benefit, they would pay big time.

There is a differance between somebody having a setback in their life and needing a hand and somebody who had no viable way in the first place to support children.

If there is a downside to irresponsable behavior there will be less of it, society currenly rewards it so there is more of it. The number of single mother households has exploded along with the problems in society. The country is being turned into a giant housing project, the same mentality is everywhere today. It used to be most woman didn't want to end up in the projects, now with section 8 rent assistance the problem is worse.

Well unfortunately currently in nutrition and psychology the topic of state and federal handouts hasn't come up. No worries though, i have an A in both classes already. Thank you for responding to me this time!
