I was stalked by my husband in Hinesville. I had called the cops over 8 times to catch him in the act, only to have them take their time getting there, and then tell me to take it up with officials on post. Who of course did absolutley nothing. He was breaking into myhouse, my car, leaving nasty voice mails, texts, messages on my car, he was harrassing me at work. NOTHING was done. I had to move OUT OF STATE and lose my friends, my home and my job because of him. The stalking he was doing was in HINESVILLE, NOT on post. He should have been arrested, and I should have been protected like the police are SUPPOSED to do. This idiot should not have ' special ' rights becuase he is enlisted. He should have to follow the law like I am expected to. ALL MILITARY PERSONNEL need to stop getting special treatment because they do a job that may be harder than our, or may be for the US. THey sign up for it and know what is expected of them. They should not be able to stalk, harass, or get out of possibly dangerous OWI's because they are in the freakin army.

I suggest you buy a shotgun and get a restraining order. Then when he comes to terrorize, you will be fully in your rights to defend your life.

It sounds like your ex-husband's unit commander may have failed you in his/her duty to properly restrain the activities of said soldier. It's a shame that you felt the need to move from here based on the unprofessional actions of your former husband. I hope that life is treating you better at your current location.

Do you even know this woman? I am a military spouse right now and I have always been faithful to my husband but i am sick and tired of people assuming that just because a woman is married to a soldier she is a whore or a slut in any case no one has the right to stalk another person no matter what they did its a crime and no soldiers shouldn't have special rights just because they are soldiers grow up eh? This woman went thru hell and her husband sounds like a sick obsessive bastard who just happens to have been trained by the military to kill She has every right to feel the way she does.

But many are I promise. You should just see how many are in the clubs once there is a deployment.

seen it too many times to think otherwise. My ex' did it to me while I was stationed in korea. There's more to her story than she's telling. I don't believe he'd stalk her just cause she was a loving faithful spouse...

TPO or not..there is nothing illegal about driving on the street in front of your house. If done back and forth back and forth that might constitute suspicious activity, but not illegal activity. And besides..have you measure the distance from the roadway to the house? Does the TPO specify that he can't drive in front of the house? Do you know the elements of the crime you call stalking?

Or maybe the man that she married didn't come back the same person. My husband came back and was VERY argumentative, was constantly yelling and drank WAY too much everyday. Sometimes the person that leaves you comes back a jerk that you can't be with. I too had to relocate because sometimes it's just easier to start all over again with some peace of mind

Don't rely on the police to protect you because they have no obligation to do so. They probably didn't do anything because you husband didn't violate any state or local statutes. So stop feeling sorry for yourself and start over wherever you moved to.

There are a few good points in everyone response. I have seen for myself many time where the wife or husband cannot wait for the other to leave so that they can party and their kind of party is not one to write home about. A cheating spouse makes me sick. they think that are entitle to do whatever they want without no consequencies. I am in no way condoning what this guys does but some female does the samething that he does. So just be thankful that you could leave and have a life. I sencerely wishes you all the happiness in the world.

Um, I beg to differ. I watched a neighbor get stalked, beat up, and harassed by her "soldier" of a husband. She did nothing wrong. She left him because he beat her. The military wouldn't do a damn thing about the piece of sh!t. Karma got him in the end though.
