Midway Rep. Al Williams said Tuesday that state leaders and General Assembly anticipate funding to be a major issue in next year's legislative session, and transportation and education are critical areas of concern.

Rep. Williams is going to have to recognize that the state is struggling to stretch revenues to cover essentials right now. All agencies are having to cut back. Unlike the feds, Georgia can't print its own money or borrow from China. Its budget must be balanced.
