I am possibly moving to the Hinesville area and interested to know what are the best subdivisions to stay in. What areas should I stay away from and what areas were once good but are now falling apart. Should I consider moving to areas outside Hinesville like Midway, Ludowici or Richmond Hills? Thanks

I guess it depends on where your job will be. If you plan on working in Hinesville, my advice is to live in Hinesville but dont live in the city limits. I live just outside the city limits and I love it here. Living in Richmond Hill is pretty good because its closer to Savannah. There are no malls and no good shopping here in Hinesville. But, the cost of living is slightly higher in Richmond Hill. Midway would be a nice place also. There is some new development in housing out that way. I lived in Ludowici for a little over a year and it was a nice, quiet, country town. But too far away from civilzation for me. If you dont mind my asking, where are you moving from?

Hinesville is a dump. I've never been to Midway or Ludowici. I have been to Richmond Hills and it's a nice area.

I have the best idea. Don't move to any of those podunk towns. Move to Atlanta,Ga instead.

stonehenge or waterfield are alright, so is courtland and maybe around the courthouse has nice condos now. its an up and coming town just plan to get up early everyone that is in the military is on their way to post but theres 3 gates to get there, so it should ease up some of the traffic

I lived out on Old Sunbury Road in Hinesville and it wasn't so bad. I also lived in Walthourville, Gum Branch and Ludowici. If you're a civilian just make sure you have a place and a job. It can be hard otherwise. I don't really remember a bad place in Hinesville. I knew people that lived in the low income housing areas and even they aren't (or weren't) bad. Good Luck!
