Synergy, I have to admit that I still feel both sides are wrong.

As I just posted elswhere in another thread to two friends of mine, Chuck, as Republican, and Corey, a Democrat... yes, folks, I have close friends on either side, both sides sometimes make just a little sense, under all the pompous cr4p:

I've been around long enough and have seen enough to know the two parties are in cahoots, and neither wants to see a third party rise up and break their balance of terror.

I understand the Democratic party works well for you, Corey, and the Republican party works well for Chuck.

I find both to be lacking, ao to each his own I reckon.

As Gary Johnson himself says: "A wasted vote is voting for somebody you don't believe in and there were a lot of wasted votes tonight. There were more wasted votes tonight than I've ever seen. We all should be proud of ourselves because over the next four years none of us are gonna have to say we are responsible for this. The Third Party will grow as more and more Americans wake up and reject the two party monopoly of Republican-Democrat.

Reading these posts scare the hell out of me because it tells me just how misinformed the public at large really is! We're in for a hellava four years! We'll be lucky to have a roof over our heads and food on our tables! The saddest part of all is that I'm preaching to the choir and you're totally oblivious! America is in terrible shape and most of you are completely unaware!

I could be wrong! But, I have confidence that this country is going to see better days in the near future! The past four years was going to be tough no matter who was president. Lets face it the dems / obama have done a good sell job of class warfare. Never mind that 50% of the country does not pay federal tax. Never mind that the top 20% of wage earners already pay the lions share of the federal taxes. Never mind that the tax hike he wants on the top income earners will amount to 1% of our/his national debt. obama has succeeded at dividing this country like no one before him. He has expanded welfare and grown our debt to unheard of levels. Where has all of this got us ? We are a divided country with trillions in debt, 10% jobless rate, millions of forclosures, 50 million on food stamps and a growing number of people giving up hope. Exactly what obama wants because when you give up you need the government to survive.

+1 well stated, except that I believe the REAL unemployment rate is somewhere way north of 10%.

I really wish someone could explain where the money is going to come from to liquidate $16 TRILLION in debt, projected to be $20 trillion by the time the POTUSA is out of office.

Tax hikes on everyone. Without entitlement reform nothing will change and liberals / obama have no intention of making meaningfull cuts. Consider also the cost of unfunded obama care that is not yet in full swing. If anyone, I don't give a damn what party you favor, thinks obama care is going to do anything but add to the debt they are completely misinformed. The tax hike on the top income earners that obama is calling for is nothing more than a power grab by the government. They would cover at best 1% of the national debt. Apparently things will have to get much worse for people to wake up.

I agree with what you say, but there are SO MANY people that either WANT this to happen or they're too clueless and uneducated to know what's happening.

Once you give a "benefit" to someone, it's very difficult to "take" it away. People not paying income taxes now (around half the country) will say they don't want to pay any and the evil rich should pay more (their "fair share"). There isn't enough income or wealth in this country to balance the budget. Unfortunately, too many people are ignorant of that fact...
