Just curious. How do you explain the following promises he made and flip flopped on?

-allowing 5 days of public comment before signing any bills
-NO NEW TAXES on a family making less than $250K a year
-100% transparency in his administration
-support of traditional marriage 1 man-1 woman
-end income tax for seniors making less than $50K a year
-remove earmarks from PORK projects before he signs any bill
-bring ALL our troops home within ONE year
-put the Health Care negotiations on CSPAN
-NO LOBBISTS IN HIS ADMINISTRATION
-close Guantanamo
- to RESIGN if he didn't cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term. I believe he stated that he should be a one term president.
-UNITE THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY

I guess all of that is Bush's fault, too, huh? I can't believe that you die hard libs are STILL not seeing the handwriting on the wall. Obama has lied to you and the people of this country until I don't know what else he CAN lie about. Bush screwed up and certainly needed to go, but for God's sake, man. OPEN YOUR EYES.
Great post.

What's amazing is how:

Right Wingers ignore how Obama governs exactly like Bush - but with a brain;
and
Left Wingers ignore how Obama governs just like Bush - but with a brain.

Bush/Cheney kept the Right Wing troops in line waving the flag, claiming he was "protecting" normal folks from crazy socialist commie leeeeeeeberals.

Obama keeps the troops in line by waving the flag and claiming he protecting the normal folks from crazy, fascist Right Wing Wackos.

The sad thing is, to a very small degree, both are somewhat true, but both are distractions from the real issues - who has the money- and who gets more money.
rather obvious

NUT!
Always looking for someone to blame for the failure of your generation! You had the best and you squandered it with your greed and hate of people you didn’t and don’t understand.

Not one politician in the history of the world has not made campaign promises they couldn't or wouldn't keep. You always bring up Bush!! Bush and his administration not only told lies, the lies they told got lots of good people KILLED and spent OUR money on wars we couldn’t win and were fought due to the lies he told.“Weapons of Mass Destruction”,“We have won the war in Iraq”“We will kill Osama BinLaden” and on and on.

NOBODY saw the economic meltdown coming and NOBODY had a damn clue what to do about it now or then. They had no clue because there was and is no easy fix for YEARS of bad judgment.

YOU have some serious mental issues. For GODS sake man open YOUR eyes.

Actually, I agree with you, to a degree, except I don't think Obama has any more of a brain than Bush has. That's just a left wing "phrase" which, for some reason in the eyes of disappointed left wingers, makes Obama seem a little "better". Not so. During the Bush years, the people thought he was protecting our country from another attack. As it rocked on, it became obvious that the Middle East was/is a lost cause....actually always has been, but we were frightened by 9/11 and the war raged on.....to the benefit of contracters, etc.(those who had a dog in the hunt.)
Obama is an empty suit with an extreme narcissistic personality who is keeping the hate of EVERYONE BUT leeeeeeeberals going at full tilt. In the last few years, I've given a lot of thought to how this country has progressed down the path of destruction and although I was one of those who thought those who claimed the two parties were the same were just conspiracy theorists, I've come to the conclusion that those people were/are right. It didn't start with Bush and barring a miracle, it won't end with Obama.
The citizens ARE totally kept off balance by distractions from the real issues. That is how we have gotten to this point. We are constantly being distracted and that is by design.

I didn't know Obama was a drunk until I saw him sober one time, just thought he had a joint or a cigarette occasionally. Oh by the way, did Jimmy Carter win the Senate seat????

That is good that you think on your own. That is why we have that grey matter on top of our necks. But if you actually sit down and put some thought on how you logically work thoughts out you will know what type thinker and person that you are. You are either a liberal, libertarian or a conservative. Now I am assuming that you are not a communist or a fascist so we just leave that out. You could have some libertarian beliefs mixed in. Only you can figure that out. I like to converse with people that think on their own and have new fresh ideas.

Wow! I think you have hit the ball out of the park. It is always the same old game but the keeps getting richer and richer. What is scary is that now that those that are running this game have control of most all the money and the only thing left for them to get their hands on is total power.

<quoted text> I called Bush, Cheney, & Rumsfeld out months & months ago. The axis of evil. Haliburton and no their no bid government contracts. EVIL. Evil war mongers. It was a sham. All about oil and making their rich campaign contributors wealthier. Oil was the game, money the gain. Every time I think of that trillion dollar Iraqi American embassy, I get disgusted. Wow, what a huge waste! I refuse to be associated with either party.
You nailed it exactly there Glorya. 3 out of 4 Americans now see Iraq as a mistake and I would add an ugly evil way to involve your fellow Americans into such a disastor. Obviously men(if you can call them such) such as cheney bush rumsfeld powell don't have a conscious and are not bothered by 4500 young naive Americans slaughtered so they could become very wealthy. It's times like these that make it difficult to understand how a God could allow them to go unpunished, that is so far. What is still scary is that there are 1 in 4 Americans you see out in the public that still believe this was a just war!Obviously these are the republican fringes of our society. Now the democrats are really no alternative but you have to choose between these two every election, that is so far! The permanent solution lies way up above and so far it or He has'st intervened yet.

Typical Right Winger - when you F.. up the country you blame moderates for not being able to stop you from doing it.
Man up. This debacle is yours. Not mine or my friends. You broke it - you bought it.
Don't try to share your guilt with those if us you attacked when we tried to educate you on the idiocy of your schemes. And if those who supported this unnecessary war feel no guilt - they are truly sociopaths. Marines in body bags and Trillions borrowed and wasted have to cause guilt and remorse in any rational mind.
Instead, join the rational folks in objecting to Obama's continuation of Bush's Right Wing Corporate Policies.
Having been so so so so wrong, so often, perhaps this anniversary will cause some Right Wingers to stop attacking, and instead join, the people who obviously make better choices and obviously place the country's welfare ahead of their own.
Hope springs eternal.
Yes, these hardcore republican freaks want all of we independents and moderate to put our blessings and votes to their right-wing freak politicians and when you don't the blame us for keeping weirdos like romney out of power. Untill they come to their senses we have to stand in their way and keep them at bay(no pun intended)

I now truly believe that many people now see what is happening to our once great country and are frustrated and do not know what to do.
Oh sure, the socialist and communist are happy but the average American now sees that a huge hoax has been perpetrated upon him or her.
They never wanted to believe the truth as it was to ugly to deal with. It hurt their pride to admit such things were true. That they could have misjudged or made a mistake. Now they see it and it has become a dark cloud over their heads blurring out any hope of a positive future for them or their children. Sometimes you actually get what you ask for.
And of corse your solution is to put the party back in power that f-cked it up for 8 stressful years. Your idea of the truth is for the rest of we non-republicans( which outnumber you 2 to 1) to believe that bush was great, there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq,we just could'nt find them. Let's blow our budget way up involving ourselves in Syria,Iran,North Korea and lets force them all to believe exactly as we do. Yea let's sit back here in America and watch our army and navy blow their brains out all over the world while All the rest of we non-republicans pay for it. Sure glad folks like you are in the minority and I believe most Americans have realizwd how evil bush and cheney are. follow you on that and tend to agree with you to some extent.but what would prevent someone from being conservative on one issue(just say,for example,on environmental issues)liberal on another issue(gun control, again these are just examples)libertarian on some other issues and totally indifferent on some issues.it is my belief that almost everyone tends to think that their own thoughts are in the center, and anyone who thinks differently is either left(liberal)or right(conservative)of the mainstream.

Oh my gosh, you have no idea how it was around our holiday table, sitting with a few "distracted" R wingers. Me screaming the whole time, this war is a "sham", "wrong", "all about oil & greed"... and that was at the VERY, very beginning. Dumb and distracted "by design" has been going on for years. Please. NOW, they want to preach & teach. Wow! I just want to b**ch slap some sense into them, but they are family and I'm not a redneck. But man, I wanted to dive across that table a time or two. However, it was Christian holidays, a terrible time to discuss politics around the table. So thank you, Columbus Native. I'm glad we agree.

When Bush helicoptered onto that aircraft carrier & gave the "mission accomplished" spill, talking about disgusted, sick & nauseous, I was.

Had to refresh my memory on how Bush landed onto aircraft carrier, it was Navy jet, not Marine One. But, we ALL remember the bomber jacket and the big fat lie...so who really gives a flip how he arrived, except the Bush lovers.

good post.i've been reading a great book,a biography about che Guevara, the argentine/Cuban revolutionary,by john lee Anderson.while I think che was a cold-blooded killer and not someone to be admired, you have to give him credit for his devotion to his cause.his ultimate goal was to bring down the U.S. by starting and getting us involved in wars all over the world(asia,africa,mid-east,etc .,draining us of our resources and slowly bleeding us to death.were he still alive,i would bet that he would be happy to see that we are now doing this to ourselves.

Daily Horoscope for June 19

Leo

You need to vary your domestic routine slightly today to avoid feeling bored or restless, especially if the day threatens to be rather predictable. Think of ways to introduce a note of spontaneity into the proceedings, even if they're very minor, because they'll make you feel more lively and on the ball. If you're going shopping you'll be tempted by some impulse buys.
