Friend --

The House Republicans just released their version of health reform. It's a disaster -- so outrageous that Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has dubbed it the "Health Insurance Company Protection Act" -- but Republicans are arguing it's the key to real reform.

So we're pushing back hard, with the top 5 reasons that the GOP bill fails America. Take a look at the list -- then pass it along to all your friends who need to know the facts.

The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) says it would barely make a dent in most of our premiums, and could lead to higher premiums for older Americans.
The New York Times reports that it doesn't stop insurers from refusing to cover you because of a pre-existing condition.
The CBO's research shows that the GOP plan would likely cut the deficit by just $68 billion over the next ten years -- far less than the Democratic bill, which cuts the deficit by $104 billion over the same period.
The CBO also estimates that under the Republican bill the number of uninsured Americans would actually increase to 52 million by 2019.
And Politico writes that the Republican's so-called plan doesn't keep insurers from dropping you when you're sick -- it just makes them let you know that you're being dropped.
The Democratic bill in the House is what America actually needs. It stops insurance companies from refusing coverage because of a pre-existing condition. It prevents them from denying you care when you get sick. It will help lower premiums for our families and businesses, and will cover 33 million more people than the Republican bill.

Capitol Hill newspapers are reporting that the House may vote on a Democratic bill tomorrow. So it's especially crucial that we get the word out immediately. Please pass this along to everyone you know.

You know, I'm all for helping people out... but really. Those are private companies, trying to make some cash. Folks with preexisting conditions are expensive. It is really right for the government to FORCE a private company to serve someone?

It's not like racial or sexual discrimination. Sick people are going to be more expensive to cover.

If the Government offers a public option, so be it, but let's not have the feds telling yet another industry what to do, line by line.

If that was a potshot at me Red, then you need to go back and take another look at who started with the being mean in your disagreeing first. You, and sis too, along with a few others on here, took the first mean shots at me, then I returned the favor. Disagreeing is fine, but you and those other few were the first ones who started ganging up on me. Even back on those threads where we were all discussing relationships, or even the Bible. I was telling what myself and many other men had said that we were seeing among most women now-a-days, and you, and a few more started getting all over me saying that wasn't it, or I was wrong. Then you, and sis, started telling me what I pointed out that myself, and 70 or 80 other preachers in 2 different Bible colleges had all seen in the Bible, all those men of God who had preached anywheres from 2 years to some as much as 60 years, and you and a couple of others know the Bible better than all those men. You all started with the mean and smartass comments first.

No,I wan't taking a "potshot" at you...odd that you would think I was.Nor do I recall ever having been mean to you.I'm sorry that you seem to have a problem with me,which I really don't understand. We have had disagreements, but that's all I considered it to be....a disagreement.Lots of us don't always agree, that doesn't equate to being mean.I have never claimed to know the Bible better than anyone, don't know where that came from. But,just for the record,I don't think that understanding or wisdom regarding the Bible, comes from any college.Rather,it comes from faith and the understanding that God grants you.

Yeah, I thought it was only disagreements, but that came across to me like a veiled indirect shot meant more for me. If it wasn't, then I apologize Red. I don't have a problem with you specifially.
But as for the statement on Wisdom and knowledge of the Bible, no scripture is of any private interpretation. And we are also supposed to seek the wisdom of those who have put more time into studying and research than we have, just to prevent us from twisting things into what we want to believe. We are told also in the Word, that in much counsel there is great wisdom. So yes, we are supposed to look to those who are doing it, or have done it for more clarity on things. Yes, the Holy Spirit does give some individual understanding, but we shouldn't leave it solely on that, because we as humans are too prone to take that as the only way to see things, when we could be wrong or just twisting it so we'll feel better about ourselves.
That's exactly why Paul told Timothy that no person who just got saved, is qualified to get up and start trying to preach! They need to be taught by those who've put the time in and learn the right way so they don't lead people astray by telling them things that aren't true, or by using just one verse here, or one verse there.
So if 70 or 80 men who've put all that time and knowledge and effort into it are telling me something, and it all lines up with the Bible and I can see it right there in front of me in black and white, then it's my responsiblity to put away myself and hear what they are saying. The Holy Spirit will confirm or not if what they are saying is true. But if I don't know the difference between the Holy Spirit or my own pride not wanting to let go of something I WANT to beleive rather than what God's Word says, then that's when I should be on my knees praying about it.

I do think you and I have had several simple disagreements, and they were simply left as that. But there have been a few occasions when it didn't go that way.

I try to be considerate on here, but when someone spouts off at me, is usually when I spout off back.

I wonder if Kungfu and holdin44 are the same person? If not, then they both have the same know it all and smart *ss remarks.I've been readin thru a lot of these posts today and notice they both trash talk but then try to pass it off on somebody else and blame them. Not just this thread, but many others. It is plain to see that holdin44 has some deep anger issues, and kungfu is a smart*ss.I have read enough on here today to figure it out.Seems the most normal one on here is Defender of freedom. He does make good points. You guys should watch and learn from him.And whats with pickin on women? If I can't talk to one without talking sh*t,then I just wouldn't do nothing.Grow some nuts boys.

Well first, you're a total idiot. I've been accused of being The Defender, now KungFu, and who knows who else now. I'm not Defender, I'm not KungFu, I'm nobody except Holdin44 and Single and 44. Like I've said till I'm sick of it. Funny how when Defender and I agree on things, as we've done a Lot on here, no one thinks us the same person, unless it's something the majority don't agree with, then we're the same person. Now this again with Fu. Haha! Must not be too bright. Fu and I have agreed on some issues, but also disagreed as well, just as the Defender and I have. We are seperate individuals, and unlike a LOT of those on here, don't go around using 10 to 15 different names to post under to appear to have someone agree with our stupid remarks.

As for saying things to these women, if they want to talk "shit" as you call it to us, then they should be able to handle it coming back their way as well. I don't just roll over and let someone say that I start crap, when it's in black and white on here who said what first. If I say something out of the way first, if you go back and look, I usually apologize for it. But some of these women don't apologize for anything when they're the ones jumping in and trying to act like the know it alls. So if they can dish it out, they ought to be able to take it too or just not say anything.

So keep talking your stupid crap about me and KungFu bein the same person. It'll just show how much you DON'T pay attention to things. Because Fu and I, have far less issues that we've agreed on, than Defender and I have. So you might wanna grow some and admit you're nothing more than a troll on here still tryin to stir crap up when no one said anything to you in the first place. Oh wait, but then you wouldn't be able to keep trolling on here if you actually admitted the truth, would you?

Well,ya get off of here for a day and miss all kinds of stuff...lol.Anyway,just to condense, again I don't recall having said anything mean to you,H44.As for Kungfu, yeh,I did call him stupid before. But I also apologized.I'm really not much of one to just do "potshots".If I have something to say to someone specifically,I'll sure say it.Never doubt that I have the nerve to do so.Nor do I need anyone to defend me,I can take care of myself quite well.Yeh,I can dish it out...but I can also take it.
