ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!!! A lot of people today are very misled. They believe once you give your life to Christ, that everything is a cake-walk from then on. But in all actuality, that is when the devil puts on his boxing gloves and he will beat you to death if you let him. The Bible is VERY clear about Christian sinning, and says:

"If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning." (2 Peter 2:20). This verse is very simple; if you give your life to Christ, but then fall back into a sinful lifestyle, then you're worse off then than you were before you got saved.

Also,(2 Peter 2:22) says, "Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit," and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud." More proof that you can sin "AFTER" being saved.

A lot of people don't think it's possible for a preacher to turn homosexual, or to commit adultery, or to steal or kill etc, but not only is it possible, it's happening all over this nation!!!! King David committed adultery and he was a man "after God's own heart." KJV. My point is, if you are a born again Christian, then Jesus Christ should flow through your life. If you walk in God's Spirit, then you won't want to sin.

Lastly, nobody is perfect, but Christians (of all people), should be following Jesus' standard of living, by living in faith and obedience to GOD!

God Bless you all and if you know Christ as your Lord and Saviour, then PLEASE allow Him to flow through your life. This world needs our help more than ever. Time is running out!

God loves us correct? Then how come some sinful things like sex are so much fun?

Nietzsche: Sex is not "sinful" when performed in a Godly manner. But unfortunately, sex is performed in MANY other manners outside of traditional marriage. We have pre-marital sex, adultery, homosexuality, etc and all those are sins according to the Bible. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 7:9, "If we cannot control ourselves, we should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion." Lust is a sin, and that's why this verse tells us to get married if we can't control those sexual temptations.

And Genesis 2:24 tells "MAN" to take a "WIFE" and marry. Then you can have all the sex you want, as long as it's within the confines of a God ordained unity (husband and wife).

I don't know how old you are, but chances are you haven't read much of the Bible. If you have then forgive me, but if you haven't, then I hope you listen to what I'm saying VERY carefully.

The culture you live in today by all means teaches you that sex is the greatest thing ever. Sex sells, just look at the TV shows and pornos etc. The cultures change, but the Bible NEVER changes. If you read the Bible, you will understand that sex is a very special blessing (from GOD) to husband and wife. But our culture has taught us that it's OK to have sex with anyone and everyone, because GOD created you in His image and He loves you no matter what.

That's G-A-R-B-A-G-E and I hope you don't fall for it. Yes, God does love you and yes you are created in His image, but God is not a sex addict, and He absolutely hates sexual immorality.

The Bible says "blessed is he who overcomes." So next time you want to have "FUN," will you be able to "overcome" the temptaion, if it's immoral sex that's staring you in the face?

This is true........But Romans 8:1 tells us that Christians are no longer condemned for their sins. This simply means that a non-believer's sins will send him/her to hell, whereas a born again Christian's sins will not, because he/she has been washed by the eternal Blood of the Lamb.

This does not mean a Christian has a "free ticket" to go and sin, because a true child of GOD will not wallow in sin or be enslaved to darkness.

No disrespect, but I do not agree. A true Christian will not deliberately sin, if they do, they are not a true Christian, which means they are a sinner, which means if they die in sin, they will go to hell just like anyone else who sins.

So you wouldn't call people like David, Moses, or King Solomon "true Christians". Even though the term "Christian" wasn't yet coined during these people's lives, they are still used as examples for what it means to be Christ like. All three intentionally sinned, so are you saying these people shouldn't be role models for Christians?

You got your clogs on? Because you just danced all around that question.

So at the Sunday school at your church do you only teach the passages related to the life of Jesus? I guess you don't teach any of Jesus's parables either? Do you use any passages in the Old testament? I mean if all you need to know about being a christian is found in the few passages related to Jesus then why even use the rest of the bible?

When people profess to be Christian, yet act and live in a manner that is not Christian, they are hypocrites. These better than thou people who will preach at you all day, then turn around and gossip about people in the community are hypocrites. God hates hypocrites and will judge them most severely. Unfortunately most who proclaim they are Christian in Knott County are nothing more than hypocrites. The few that are true Christians, are unfortunately given a bad name, by the majority who are not. Those few are to be applauded. The rest need to hurry right on to hades and leave the rest alone.

So by some of your accounts, a Christian can be saved, then 2 minutes later, go on a murder rampage, shoot himself in the head, and still go to Heaven? Wow...

No wonder Knott County is so screwed up.

If that actually happened I think the question of whether or not that person was actually "saved" would need to be asked. If one truly wishes to become Christlike ie a Christian than committing mass murder would be counter productive, don't you think?

If I said, I'm an atheist there is no god. And then go to Uganda to preach the gospel, wouldn't you call my own belief into questioning?

It's called personal faith... My belief isn't based on anything other than my own faith. Period. It's not based on words from a preacher, evidence from a textbook, or anything else I have "seen" it's based on faith.

Why question and judge someone else's personal beliefs, when the belief is based on something you can never and will never understand, their own personal faith?
