You have been listening to the FOX news channel or some republican's lies. they used this lie and hundreds more trying to kill the bill and we still got it passed. If you can't afford the insurance then it will be paid for you . but it will take a long time to get this program going but hang in there. you will get a insurance card soon as this takes full effect. don't listen to FOX NEWS or any republican's lies. they are pure demons and tried everything to stop this great bill.

This bill will overload the system to the point that the healthcare system can't take care of the patients.. It will put people out of work and will cut down on the number of doctors and the negatives go on and on.. You must be someone that will get a card even if you can't pay for it, I guess the people that work for a living will pay for your's. Oh yea I am not a REPUBLICAN but I will be soon...

Well I'm not a Republican EITHER. I'm an Independant, and will remain so.
But I'd rather support a Bill that actually makes the insurance companies actually PAY, for peoples medical expenses when they get sick, rather than keep allowing them to just say, "NO, we won't pay for that one because it'll cost us (the insurance companies) too much money and now that you're sick with THAT disease, we're also gonna Drop you from coverage,(which leaves so many with NO insurance at all)! But we DO thank you for paying us all those high premiums for all these years, which made so many of us so wealthy. Hope things work out for you!".
Yeah right!!!If you can't see how this Bill will help put these CROOKS in check, then I feel sorry for you!

I hear it on NBC. Yes if you can't afford it they will gave it to you but who says who can and can't afford it? My husband and I both work over 40 hours a week and don't have insurance for our kids or myself because our employers don't carry "family" insurance plans and because we work couldn't get kchip or any thing else for them. Now who is to say that the government want say we CAN afford it. if we don't "buy" it we and going to get fined by the government or be forced to pay for something we CAN"T afford! Lets see buy food and pay the bills or pay for something we are TOLD we CAN afford SOUNDS WONDERFUL TO ME!!!

according to kidshealth.ky.gov
"KCHIP is for children under the age of 19 who do not have health insurance and whose family income is below 200 percent of the federal poverty level. For example, a family of four can earn up to $42,400 a year."

Im sorry but if you make more than 42 k a year and live in SEKY you can afford health insurance for your kids. Your either living WAY above your means or your not telling the whole truth.

Call someone in Canada and see how there health care system works... I fell sorry for you because you only see one side of this bill. Good Luck if you get sick....

Yes you do have to pay for it and if you do not want it then you are fined for it. The biggest problems with it is if I sign up for it, it will cost me 3000 dollars a year but there is an opt out plan where I can sign off and cancel it and only have to pay 1000 dollars and the extra 2000 is dispersed amongst tax payers to pay the rest of my bill. It will bankrupt America. Also we will be like Canada it will take you 6 months or longer just to get in for a check up. Also lawyers will not take your case if you have regular insurance because they have limits on how much they can make in court on them, as of now the government insurance has no limit so you will be out of a luck if you get injured because they will want those no limits before yours. This is called Socialism people welcome to it. Socialism has never worked in any country in history and it won't in this one either. And before you state that I am listening to various affiliations that is not true, I have researched this bill and kept up with its many incarnations on my own. I have a lot of family in the government so I hear some from them and then I research the rest.

guess that means we working people will get screwed on our paychecks when they take tax's out to pay for this. not like we dont have enough bullshit tax's already being taken out. why the hell can Canada do it for free and we here in the states have to pay for other people's health care? is bullshit.

Marty, I work and pay my taxes too. But I'd rather pay a little extra and actually know more Americans can get some kind of treatment where they never could before! At least this way I know the Insuance company can't just drop me from coverage if I should come down with ohhh say cancer! This Bill will at least make them stay in for the long haul like what I expected when I paid all those premiums for all those years. And I know also from this that that same Big Insurance company won't be dropping millions of other Americans who've paid those same premiums as I have while they all go off and give themselves a big fat 200 Million Dollar Bonus at the end of the year! A bonus that would come out of the very money Bush Jr. gave them all for bailouts his last two years in! Which ALSO was taxpayers money.
So where was all the Republicans then? Why were they not bitching and griping about Bush just Handing all those Billions out to the very Insurance Industry that is fighting so hard against this bill now?

not about knowing where it goes. already getting taxed to death,, dont need anymore tax's taken out no matter if its for a good cause or not. make $800 a week and only get about $550 of that due to what taxes are already being taken out. that is bullshit.

I know what you're saying about not wanting any more taxes Marty. I don't want any more either. But come on man, be real! Think along the lines of the real world for a change.

In truth, the Big Insurance Companies give themselves these big bonuses, Fact.
They bankrupt their own company and declare that to the Feds in order to ask the Government for assistance in bailouts, Fact.
The government hands them Billions in bailout money, Fact, Bush did it before he left office.
Those Billions in bailout money given to these companies ARE your tax dollars and mine which will only leave the government getting more tax dollars from us ANYWAYS to replace what Bush gave away leaving the American people with nothing to show at all for all that money, Fact.
At least this way, 35 to 100 million Americans will at least have Something to show for that money, Fact.

What you're saying Marty, is that as far as you're concerned, you just don't care if those Insuarance companies steal from their own cookie jar. But the truth of what the Bush administration did with GOP backing and support, is refill that cookie jar for the Insuarance Comanies to steal from next year, all while laughing at America and skipping off to the bank.
Talk about Spitting on America! If THAT'S not spitting on Americans then I don't know what is.
Because it was Your hard working dollars and Mine that filled that cookie jar the first time for them in high insurance premiums, then our Tax dollars that Refilled that cookie jar for them again in bailout money!
Can't you see thats now TWO different ways they STOLE Billions from the American people?
One way to STOP the governments NEED to keep raising taxes on us, is to support Bills like this that will put a stop to those companies from getting away will all their White collar crimes like these. If they aren't allowed to keep doing this, then they won't be getting Billions of our tax dollars to refill their cookie jar every time they rob it till it's empty, and our tax dollars can then go for Other national bills and debt.
And every word of all this is fact, and was all over the news since 2007.

Socialism never worked anywhere?!?! what do you think the public library is? Or public schools, police stations, fire departments, hell even the shopping carts at Wal-mart is a part of socialism! You think socialism doesn't work? Start paying for your kids books that go to elementary school and High school. Pay for your shopping carts when you go to walmart, or what you can't pack don't buy. Next time your house is on fire hope you grabbed some money, cause you're gonna have to pay for it! yeah you're right socialism doesn't work...

yeah got a job over in phelps,, hella long drive but its a job.

and to RED,, i dont give a crap about anything other than i am getting more money taken out of my check which is bullshit. its money I WORK for. could care less what companys screws who over. i dont want any more money cut out of my check than already is. if helping get back at the government with this bill means taking more money out of my check,, then i dont want to get back at them. even if it is for the good. work my damn ass off to get taxed to death? you go crawl in 30" coal and see if you want to donate more money for taxes.
