Teco Coal officials announce layoffs

EASTERN KENTUCKY (WYMT)- Around 90 employees are being laid off from the Teco Coal Corporation.

Director of Personnel, Paul Matney, says no mines are shutting down but they are reducing their manpower and staffing, which will reduce some production.

Matney said that the layoffs are at several locations and are the result of the economic conditions of the coal market.

He says more information will be released Friday

<quoted text>If u don't need coal then u must have enough money that you don't need to work! Coal is whats always kept eastern kentucky. Obama doesnt need it either for he wants what makes the most money! Not windmills....but oil. he says theres more oil in the western united states than in the entire world and the drilling has already begun! so very sad the poor well be the losers and the wealth much wealthy.Wealth isnt a few hundred thousand !!!!
ANYTHING THAT IS NON-RENEWABLE NEEDS TO BE TRASHED, once these recoursed are depleted, or on the Virge of depletion be prepared for all out war for everyone. We need to move twords GREEN ENERGY WHATEVER IT BE POOR, OR RICH.

You really think Romney would have brought us out of the recession with former Bush heads telling him what policies to make? Romney had no real plain but to expand Bush tax cuts..Romney wouldn't have appealed Robamneycare either, yes Robamneycare..People who made Romneycare also helped write Obamacare...

so we have finished this spectacle of a farce election, are you people really that stupid to think you has a choice, is there any sane person who didn't know mitt Romney didn't stand a snowballs chance in hell of getting Ron Paul voters and independants to rally behind him to stop obama. Fact is Obama didn't have any voters he didnt have last time, it was his opposition that was bungled so badly it could only have been deliberate. This Rinsed Priapus fool couldn't even deliver his own state that had gone majority republican only a short time earlier. Now when I have to listen to these neo cons whine about the loos at least i can say to them its a vote for you that is the vote that was wasted, money given to you was pizzed to the wind. Not one mention form this limp wristed mormon zionist about illegal aliens, Not the slightest suggestion that Israel has bought way to many of our leaders . Not one mention that the population does not want any more non white immigration. a set up clear and simple your being asked to hand over everything your people worked for to the scum of the earth. and your being told your daughter should marry a disgusting ape. when are you gonna grow a pair of gonads ?

darn it if I wasn't already married I would come over there and sweep you off your feet. Obama is the best president our nation has ever had,he had absolutely nothing to do with our mines shutting down. this is because China's ecpnomy is down and they have stopped buying so much of our coal.

you know that big lie the republicans made up by saying Obama was against coal still never helped them. I am a retired UMWA coal miner and I know the truth. why in the hell would us UMWA folks support Obama if he had said he was against coal? we know for a fact he never said he was against coal . now the republican liars can remove those ugly mitch mcconnel black support coal license plates , they never helped you and now they are just plain nasty looking.
