Ronnie should be appointed the next county judge, not someone who would use this office for a political stepping stone for a higher offife, or to someone who wants to control the entire county. Ronnie will work hard to bring in industry that we so rightfully deserve. There would be no politics as usual if he were to be appointed.Whomever gets appointed has a rocky road to travel. The county is broke and we are in deed in need of help, getting knott county out of this financial crisis.

Ronnie is a good guy. The problem I have seen with Ronnie is the company he keeps. Three or four of the men that campaigned for him last time cost him 2X the votes they got him. As the old saying goes, you are known by the company you keep. He needs to rid himself of these fellows. Just my opinion.

Im sorry but like u, I know Ronnie. He always whined because he never won. Im sorry but I dont feel that Ronnie could run this county efficiently! I never will trust a Watts whatsoever. Look at how his family runs carquest. Watts bargain barn is not doing very well either. Yes, the company he keeps is bad, but so is his family. Does Tony Watts ring a bell to anyone? Like Homer, Donnie and Randy, Ronnie will take money from this county and expect us to sit back and take it! If he doesnt do it personally, then his family well get him to. I think the state should step in and take over until the budget is balanced enough to where we can get better things in here to help make our home more economically suitable. The county is in ruins right now and he doesnt have the know how or determination to fix it! We need jobs, security, a plan to fix Knott County to the way it is supposed to be. This County, our home, is full of backwards ppl who does not only want to progress but would rather see this town crumble into dust. Look at the wet/dry vote for instance! Im sorry but Ronnie Watts will not receive my vote for this election if he should run!

I am in the family of Ronnie....please don't trash out about things you think you know.....the family has been through a lot the past few years. I doubt he would even want to run for office.

These are political views and matters of opinion. I know Ronnie has been through a lot as of late but still we can speak of him as we wish! This is our god given right and we still have the right to free speech. Being that you are family to him as I am as well, I still feel the right to speak up and tell everyone my opinions of the man and of his family. The only Watts family I really did like was his brother Darrel. Even though we are family, I to distrust the Watts's and consider them distant relations. Though theu are cousins to me. Remember, these are just opinions and political views and as always we as ppl from the United States of America always have the right to free speech!

You are obviously one of those scumbags who has sucked every thing they can get from Ronnie for years. The best thing Ronnie can do is to tell you jerks to go find someone else to suck dry.

no one needs to be appointed...they should have to run and let us choose! If the county wanted Ronnie Watts or Mike Hall in there then they wouldve been voted in there! Ronnie got on the radio and talked about Randy & Marcia's kids...one of the reasons I didnt vote for him! when your mean to people and their families then bad things happen to yours!

In cases such as we have with Thompson, I think the man who came in second should get to finish up the rest of the term, in this case would be Ronnie
I think it should be put into law

Ronnie Watts is a good guy and his family has been threw alot. But he isnt the man we need in office to run this county. Frist you are right the people that Ronnie surrouds himself with was his down fall. People like Kith Pigman and Bill Fair, Merll Boggs, Paul Dye , and Edd Willams this people killed any hopes for Ronnie to go anywere in the election. Plus the fact that Ronnie is a grade school dropout and dose not have the eaducation to compete with the other judges in this state to get the jop done of getting grants and things you have to be able to read and understand as our highest man in office. Plus from what i have heard Randy will still run the county.

We don't need felons (Randy)running the county. We don't need a Watts ether. The state needs to take over.

Give me a break! Mark couldn't run anything. He couldnt even find his own way out of a paper sack and Randy was leading him! We need someone who loves this County and who wants to see it progress into a town like Hazard, Pikeville, maybe even Lexington. First though, we have to make it wet in order for it to grow! Ronnie, Randy and Mark dont want that. So as long as Mark is in Randy's seat and Randy telling him what to do from behind bars, then this town will still be going backwards!!!

Randy got in trouble during the 06 election. That was against mike hall. So it would be mike hall that should be appointed judge. He came in second. Now do you feel the same about it. Personally I dont think it should be mike or ronnie. Another thing, Ronnie doesn't own carquest. The rest I pretty much agree with. I think randy had good intentions and did a good jood with what he had to work with. He tried to get the occupational tax passed for a year now. For some reason nobody else wants to. Thats the reason the county is broke. Every othet county has it except us.

I can't believe no one wants be be taxed. that is just shocking. no knott county judge before him had a tax like that and they made it without one.
