Does anyone know why for the past 6 months or so you can no longer view the inmates at the KY River Regional Jail? Are they too cheap to hire someone to keep the website up to date or are they trying to protect criminals for some reason?

JMO, but, several months ago some person was going to the KRRJ website and copying and pasting information from the website to Topix. Although it was legal to do that, it was definitely the wrong thing to do. He was posting names and crimes without giving any information to make sure who the name was. I'm just guessing, but it sure wasn't the right and moral thing to do by this poster to Topix.

Still doesn't make it necessary to deny other citizens the right to see who is incarcerated in the jails. If what you are saying is true, they need to deal with the individual. Other jails still post the mug shots of their inmates, KYRRJ should too. But I agree totally that just because one can do something legally doesn't mean one should.

It's a state ran web site and KRRJ is no longer holding state inmates, so they shut down the web site

The prosecutor in Perry County was arrested for DUI several months ago. They took the log down then and the smart people of Perry County replaced him in the next election.
