More than just the greatest Pro Football player ever. America will not be as great without him. American television and the NFL will not have the audience they had with him. Only Satan and Evil Communists would like to see him go. Somewhere near Mt Rushmore or elsewhere is a mountain that can be carved in his likeness dedicated only to him. What planet are you from?

There isn't a one of you negative Vikes fans that wouldn't have loved to watch Brett Farve play for the Vikings for 16 years. If you can't agree with that statement, you're a complete moron. He was the ultimate professional and teammate for all those years. I am not fond of the Packers or their fans, but to slam a great player like Farve just shows how ignorant some people can be at times. He holds so many records and carried a team on his back for 16 years. Show some class, shut the 'F' up. Grow up. Of course he holds the interception record, he threw more passes than anyone. Fran Tarkington held the fumbles record when he retired. The good thing is we won't have to watch Farve twice a year against the Vikes anymore. Again, your I hate Farve, or Farve was no good posts, just show how stupid some people can be at times. Shutup. Farve was one heck of player for years. Hopefully now, the Packers will suck for years and we won't have to listen to the Packer dweebs for a long time. But again, there seems to be some(not all) Viking fans lowering the average I.Q. of the rest of the state of Minnesota with todays posts. Morons idiots? you hit on something ..but actually referring to Brett as Farve not FAVRE..may show who is really the ignorant one, and thus lowering the IQ..

Farve has been heralded from sea to shining sea and I for one, think it's about time for some tempering. So why don't you invite the rest of your girlfriends over for some crumpets and tea to discuss the online behavior of some Viking fans. This love fest should be an affront to every loyal Viking fan...

Finally....No more drama about his retiring year in and year out. While I will give Brett credit for a long career and his accomplishments I still never liked the guy. He was the classic I am for the team kind of guy but by his actions you knew he was all about himself. I love the line about how he wouldn't groom Rodgers because he said "hey nobody every helped me out, why should I help him?" totally classless statement and was thinking at the time that just emphasized who Favre really was. And come on we all know why he came back, it was to get his records. Best QB's of all time don't have alcohol and drug problems, treat their wives like shit problems and still be considered the best at their position of all time. Favre was good but he was no Montana nor Brady for that matter. I for one am glad to see him go because he was a very good QB at best and not the great one so many people claimed he was.

BTW...IMO The Most TD's and The Most INT's cancel each other out as it shows he is the poster boy for Selfishness as while he threw many touchdowns he also showed how reckless he was with the ball. You think that those interceptions didn't kill drives or lose games? He thought his skills we're above the game and he could just will s h i t to happen...it don't work that way Brett, but I guess your record will attest to that.

The Viking fans FINALLY have something to be happy about... and their "comments" show it!
Best wishes to Brett; he provided many occurences of both ecstatic joy and head-shaking dismay during his tenure, but has always been a class act. His records are undeniable and speak for themselves.

Favre was a great player and competitor and I think any true Vikings fan (myself included) should salute his accomplishments and his enthusiasm for the game.
I think his stringing out his retirement somewhat diminished his on field accomplisments, but give the man his due--he will go down as one of the all time great quarterbacks and he deserves it.

Favre was a QB that any team would have wanted on its roster. The fact that he played for the Green and Gold is a separate issue. Saying that Favre was selfish is really like spitting into the wind. We had a great QB in Fran Tarkenton, but he also turned over the ball quite often and was not a ball control QB. It also appears that Fran wasn't especially liked by his teammates. Have we EVER heard a teammate speak glowingly about Fran's personality? On the other hand, we have absolutely heard Favre's teammates say great things about his talent, leadership, and his personality. Here's to a great career, Favre. Packer faithful should be proud. We'll miss the excitement of our D chasing him down. I still love that old commercial with John Randle chasing the chicken with the #4 jersey. Classic stuff. Remember, football is fun.

There will be a lot of tears shed in a lot of beer tonight in Wisconsin and that makes me smile from ear to ear. This just proves Favre was all about himself to the end -- he just wanted to get all those records last year. With #4 gone, there is a new king of the NFC North and that team wears purple! I've been waiting for this day for years and now it's finally here! Ding-dong the witch is dead! dream on...
