By your logic, anyone accused of a crime is guilty because anything they say to show their innocence is a lie to keep them out of jail. I know it may be hard for you to consider coming from Parma but black people do tell the truth from time to time.
This is not a race thing. It is bringing a gun to face a 17yr old thing. I know the breaking into cars thing happens here. They call it shopping and they go look for unlocked cars and take everything they can. I am talking about serious crimes that would require a person to bring a gun outside, that does not happen here.

If I see criminal activity happening outside I get the best help I can for my neighbors, the police. I am not so full of myself to think that the best help for my neighbor would be for me to go out and try and stop the crime. In addition how selfish it is to potentially put yourself in harms way and leave your family there to mourn your death or serious injury so you can stop those bad teenagers from stealing GPS's, cell phones or any other things that insurance can replace.

Wasnt there two other witnesses that saw the shooting and went home and went to bed??? Wasnt it his cousins?
They ran. They did not stick around to see what happened.

It's my understanding they weren't witnessess but accomplices to the breaking and entering of the vehicles. I'm sure they're going to hide their head in the sand or make up stories to save their butts like PR is saying Mr. Scott is doing.

You obviously didnt know chris that well. His friend and cousin also said he went after the shooter. Read the statements they gave to the police and then speak !!!!!! And if he is such a good kid, why did they write on his banner that he finally got what was coming to him !!!!!!!

This was not fair at all.. i'm sorry he needs a worse charge. i went to school with Chris, and he would not do that... being shot in the hand first?! cmon.. who would charge at a guy who obviously has a gun, and is willing to shoot... obviously not fair. RIP Chris <3

Yes the kid would be alive if he stayed home. Don't hang your hat on the self defense claim by Scott as he has every reason to lie. Cervini threatened property where Scott threatened human life. If Cervini lived in a community where he was accustomed to defending his life I would buy that he went after Scott but a kid from Hilton making that leap from breaking into cars to attacking a full grown adult, doubtful.
And the kid would be alive if the hot-headed gun-toting Scott had tried fighting crime with a call to 911 instead of playing the Lone Ranger on the driveway. There was no need for him to go outside, to carry a gun outside, or to shoot this kid. Headline should have read "Big man shoots wiley high school kid cuz he was frightened" - people who cannot handle the responsibility of a firearm should not own a firearm.

No, the kid would be alive if he kept his sorry thievin' butt home at 3am instead of boosting stuff out of people's cars.
Just a gateway to a future life of drugs and crime. After getting bored with opening cars, he graduates to open garage doors, homes, and if someone left spare keys in a car, joyriding. Then when cops chase him he runs chance of crashing the car killing himself (good) and his punk passengers, or worse, innocent pedestrians or bike riders or another vehicle

Maybe out in the sticks where you live it is considered ok to walk our your door with a loaded gun and shoot whatever you want, but in civilized society, we don't do that. Scott murdered an unarmed teenager! He had alternatives and should have called the police to investigate. Kids do stupid things as pranks, but do not deserve to be killed for it. People who cannot handle the responsibility of owning a firearm should not handle a firearm.

No, I live in a highly populated suburb. And I welcome a neighbor like Mr.Scott who is vigilant and looks out for his neighbors. That is one hell of a Neighborhood Watch program.
A prank is a one time thing. These kids were going driveway to driveway and it wasnt the first night they'd done it either. It was a habitual thing.
Since we've been hearing stories in these threads about how the police don't bother to come out to investigate cars being broken into, they tell you call in the report over the phone. Or they take up to an hour to show up, if they bother to. I can see why citizens are frustrated and in their right to take action on their own. It is NOT against the law for a person to prevent a crime or detain a criminal. Cops can't be everywhere at once or when you need them quickly.
Scott didnt know if the 3 thieves were teens or adults or what their race/ethnic backround, age or size was when he heard them in his driveway and then they went across to his neighbors. He also didn't know if they had weapons themselves.
But he had more balls than you ever will by going out to confront them. You can be of the BOHICA (Bend Over Here It Comes Again) type and let criminals keep you in fear and hiding behind the drapes and you shake waiting for the PoPo to show up after your 911 call.
The other night, my elderly neighbor called saying she thinks she heard something or someone in her garage and couldnt tell if the garage door was up or not. I went over with a golf club in hand. And if some punk came running out or at me, he'd be on the ground with a busted knee cap or cranium. Announce a citizens arrest. And I would've stood on his head until the cops or paramedics came to take him away. As it turned out it was a racoon that went thru her garbage can.
Who knows what was on this kids mind when he rushed Scott. I'm surprised they never released if a tox screen was done to see if he was under the influence of anything or the other 2 punks. He wasn't shot in the middle of the back. When he saw the gun, he probably tried to dodge or twist his way past and it caught him barely past his armpit.
I'm no big fan of Parinello, but I'd like to see him win this one... and to make up for it, lose the Rahn case.

Boosting items from cars is not a prank.. it is a CRIME plain and simple. I dont care how much you try to spin it, they were Jr. Criminals. You can put makeup or perfume on a pig, but it's still a pig.

So you condone cold blooded murder? May you get as good as you give.

The rest of us are not shaking behind our drapes, but we do not feel the need to kill others. The police usually shoot at the leg first, but Scott decided to kill instead.

It is my hope that he get life for his criminal act of murder, and that should send a strong message to you self-appointed militia types.

It takes a small person to hide behind a big gun, or should I say small weapon, because small men usually have small guns.

Scott wont get life, there are way too many people sick and tired of crime, it will easily be a hung jury maybe even split, and leave it at that.

Look speculative minds. Just like R. Scott..All speculative..These are not kids traveling from one neighborhood to another. We have lived in this community for over 50 years. Children that have lived here all of there lives. They are not charged with anything..why because they never stole a thing nor was it there intention. looking for a cigarette is not justification of death. Traveling with a loaded gun is attempt to do physical harm. Science proves R. Scott as a MURDERER! He shot him in the back! Evidence was not put into the case! R. Scott is a liar..and so is his defense and the prosecution. We have proof of this!

Is it a crime to attack someone with a loaded weapon in New York State? Do you feel like your under attack when someone approaches you with a loaded gun? How about someone traveling outside of their residence and holding a loaded gun on you? Is this a crime? Is it a crime to shoot and kill a person and put a bullet through other peoples house while doing so? How is it that your the perpetrator of a crime..kill and put bullets through someones house and believe your under attack? When you knowing have a loaded gun and have training in three marcial arts. What threat are you posing by doing so? It's opposite, He is the one with the gun. Science does not lie..he left his property and killed an innocent boy..and he should pay! a bullet to your back proves all day long that you are a MURDER!!

People today are so far removed from the gross, nastiness of life. People here dont have to kill an animal to put food on the table, they just go to wegmans to pick it up all wrapped nice ... they never see the blood. They fool themselves and everyone else that they are civilized, because they didn't see the blood.

Truth is, the world IS a bloody place. Those "KIDS" were also "THEIVES" they got what they deserved, whether they were stealing cigarettes, or a million dollars.

Deadly force is used to defend your life. Well, someone worked for those items ... giving up a piece of their lives working for them. They have that right to used deadly force to keep it!!!

If you feel that this is wrong, post your address on this forum, and we will all be over to your house to take everything you own, as you don't have the stomach to stop us.

Look people..what articles have you read that Chris Cervini stole anything form his neighborhood. Zero..nothing taken from anyone..in fact most of the neighbors know our children. For a fact we have lived in this neighborhood for over 50 years. Scott..does not even have residency..but yet hes out to save the neighborhood from kids walking in our neighborhood. Chris has never been kicked out of school or even been arrested for anything. The only criminal in this case is Scott with a loaded gun leaving his property and shooting Chris in his back with eight bullet holes to his body..for what opening up a car door looking for a cigarette as a last minute thought before going home. Does not justify Murder..The town of Greece is not a small suburb..and is not rural. Scott had no business leaving his house with a loaded gun. We held all of the cards in the deck including the laws the science, time line of Chris's death. But the evidence and police were never brought into the case. Scott has zero witnesses in the case other than his best friend whom was arrested for solicitation for prostitution. Scott was recorded from jail making phone calls to his other girl friend. This guy is a dirt bag and a cold blooded Murderer. We were lied to by the DA. The evidence to our case was never put into the case and if it was he would be in jail..and in other States on death row. At the time of Chris's death the town of greece was under investigation including the police Dept. DA Green was running for federal Judge..Politics at its best. They let this guy walk..and they to have blood on their hands including Judge Eagan for not allowing the gun laws and the coroners report to be given to the Jury. We were set up to fail. Someday..the truth will be told and someone will investigate this case and exploit all of those involved!
