Although, it's been a little while since this all happened to BHouse, I found myself compelled to read through the posts...and my heart continues to pound (vigorously!) in my chest at the audacity of these cruel and (obviously) mentally ill individuals (animals) who posted negative and demeaning comments. To judge and then speak of something you know NOT of <- is a total and complete display of insecurity and a SEVERE lack of intelligence. I know part of this family (at an acquaintance level) and have seen nothing BUT the characteristics of family, loyalty, honesty and hard-working Americans. To project one's vile garbage on a FAMILY (because that is what this was about) is FUCKING JUNK!!!!
Obviously, the pieces of shit that were party to the PERSONAL attacks, either didn't pay their cable or internet bill, or someone hit home with one of the conclusions of said person. We're all doomed unless we start THINKING OF OTHER PEOPLE...period. People are NOT disposable, nor are their feelings or the hard work they put into something to make their lives a better and happier place.
Whether or not the Brauers rebuild or just build again...I believe success and HAPPINESS will follow....
Nice mouth ya POS! That was probably your favorite place POS at a POS!

To Jon Vance and Good Seedy Pizza Jerks,
You are both entitled to your feeble opinions. But you really should be ashamed of yourselves for using this forum to attack not only the patrons of Brauerhouse but the family members as well. JV and Mr. Pizza, you don't even know Julie, how DARE you attack her character or integrity in any way.
Whether or not you liked the Brauer has no bearing in this post. Attacking members of my family DOES.
Mr. Pizza, Saying the BRAUER deserved to burn because smoking was allowed is insane! I'm sure you never left a candle burning in your house and fell asleep? Would you deserve to have your home burn to the ground as a result? Would you deserve to crash your car because you didn't have your breaks changed in a timely manner? I'm sure you also think that my mom deserved to die of brain cancer because she used a cell phone? You say we RIPPED OFF the Round up pizza recipe. Not true. We were given a similar recipe and changed it to my own. The other unnamed estabishment that you mentioned in your recent post apparantly did the same thing. SO WHAT? And good for them!
JV-Yes, the Brauer is a shot and a beer joint. One that you apparantly know about on a personal level. It was also the place where many people enjoyed spending their time. Apparantly you were not one of them. So, you prefer other more upscale establishments. GOOD. Different strokes for different folks. But is that a reason to mock those who enjoyed our bar or attack that family who loved it?
Whether or not you two knuckleheads care to know, the Brauers are a tight knit family with 6 hard working, tax paying siblings, who own homes and raise their children to become kind, compassionate, law abiding people. We are a family who has suffered many recent losses. One very personal one, the loss of our mother and the founder of the Brauerhouse. I can say with confidence that EVERY Brauerhouse rallied around to show their love and support. Those same patrons have celebrated with us and mourned with us. And we have done the same for them. THOSE are the patrons that we love and THOSE are the patrons that deserve their place on this forum.
I personally would be ashamed if either one of you were my children. To get enjoyment from other peoples losses is about as low as one can go.
Shaadap ya overweight beer bitch. Wash me!
It was a DUMP at the end

I know it got REALLY shady before it burned down. It wasn't a place where it was a regular crowd, it was mostly a bunch of punks mixed in with some of the old people who would come and visit now and then. They never enforced the no smoking ban and from what I know it was a VERY suspicious fire. The insurance money paid for the one in Lombard. Why not? Who wanted to stay in Hillside? Get drunk and get robbed and shot. In the end it was a dump and then poof it mysteriously burned. I never thought their pizza was close to The Round Up. The Brauers seemed to have done well more then six years later so good for them. By the way the cause of the fire was never determined. The cooler story is just that, a story.

I went to the new Brauer house last weekend. I noticed that the new bar had the same vintage Budweiser carousel that the old one did. So the owner was able to save the beer light before the fire? Hmmmm.... Something sounds fishy.
