Does anyone know why a plane was flying so low over the Bridgewater Mall today about 12:00? It was not a commercial airliner. Any comments would be appreciated. It freaked a lot of people out!

I'd like to know too -- it almost hit my house! Some neighbors said it was a 4-engine craft.

I just read an article that said there was a street fair in Somerville and the low-flying air force plane flying at 1000 ft. was the highlight of the fair!

Looked like a military plane of some kind. So very low to the ground. It did an amazing bank turn right over the mall.

It was an Amazing and scary site. Me and my wife heard the loud noise and walked outside of our Somerville home and could not believe what we saw. I
unbelievably large Air force Cargo plane about 1000 feet above the trees. Excitement soon turned into fear as my wife panicked because she thought it was going to crash into our home.

My freind Vinnie and I were going into the Bridgewater shopping center where Target, Costco, and Home Depot are located. We saw a cargo plane from the distance heading our way. It was getting closer and closer and we thought it was going to crash. It must have been over Chimney Rock Rd when it made a sharp turn and headed back towards Somerville. It was so low to the ground. All of a sudden the plane shot up 45 degrees into the air. You could hear the roar of the engines and then it just disappeared. There were so many people in the parking lot using their cell phones to let someone know what they just witnessed. I'm sorry to say I was a bit frightened and thought the worst!

I was having dinner with my family on the porch when a loud noise caught our attention. We looked up and saw a large gray military cargo plane (possibly a c-130) banking over head. It was very low but I couldn't judge the height, as I know the planes are very large. Less than five minutes later the plane repeated it's actions coming from the other direction. No military bases are in the area...I'm a bit freaked out. North Smithfield, Rhode Island

All of you are ridiculous. Stop being so paranoid, so a plane flew low to the ground? Who cares.

The Bridgewater Commons is directly in the fight route to the Newark Airport and Eastern New Jersey air routes the plane was taking photo's for the Mall.

The corporate that owns Bridgewater updates there emergency plans every four years it's time to update....
