Yes, I can believe you did not find anything amiss with your last posting. Folks with really poor writing skills never do.i have to ask, do you even know what rhetoric means? because i dont see an example in what i wrote to justify saying it needs work. and are you really on a news forum cracking on grammar? because i cant spend a half an hour responding on here im typing pretty fast.
p.s.- you overuse the comma, so let it go.
then i have to ask when you last spent ANY time around jackson street. because if you had spent any time around there you'd see all the tickets that are on cars twice a month for street cleaning. last year i saw 7 tow trucks parked at the end of jackson street behind the street sweeper. So i only assumed there were more that already had cars. Have you never exaggerated?
ex⋅pend⋅a ⋅ble - considered to be not worth keeping or maintaining.
No, i meant expendable, professor.
Again i ask you to get off your high horse.
If it takes you 30 minutes to post a clean response of a few paragraphs, then you are in far worse trouble than you think. This is not writing the next great American novel, or even writing an adequate business letter or memo, so maybe you do need to go back and pick up another writing course; or hey, go to your writing center. most of the folks who used to work in there were VERY patient, although I cannot speak for the current batch. Still, give it a shot.
Perhaps YOU under use the comma?
Uh, duh: if you Bozos are getting tickets because of the streetsweeping schedules, well....READ THE SIGNS and then DON'T PARK THERE!
Seven street sweepers, all in a row. A nice vision. Different than DOZENS. But then, you know all about hyperbole, don't ya'?
Sorry, Pal. I really think you do not mean expendible. But, hey, you are probably a business major and don't believe you need to know all those minor things. Let us all know when you graduate and get hired right away at $50,000 per annum.
Now then, back to the point of all this: if your neighborhood keeps getting busted for having parties, and you say there was even a snitch involved who infiltrated, then squealed, then don't yopu think it would be worthwhile to NOT have any parties for a bit? it's kinda' like not parking where they TELL ya' NOT TO. "Seven tow trucks" is a form of visual rhetoric that should have been pretty damn clear to anyone with an IQ of over 80.
