If the NJ politicians had not squandered our tax dollars for the last 20 years, they might not have needed to make cuts at this time. But alas, government is bloated and services must be cut in these hard economic times. If you cannot afford Cadillac level school services, then you have to cut costs and settle for Pre-owned 1995 Chevrolet level of school service until you can afford better. It is that simple. Every NJ business is making cuts. (ie: Most private garbage collection services are now offering the option of once-a-week garbage pickup at a considerable savings because customers are complaining that they just can't afford to pay the cost of twice-a-week pickup anymore.)

High school seniors are certainly capable of having larger class sizes. Next year, these same seniors will be freshmen in college, taking Economics 101 and many other college courses in a lecture hall with 300-400 other freshman, and somehow they will still learn. But according to NJEA, students can't possibly learn in a classroom having more than 30 students. It must be a MIRACLE that happens during the summer that enables these former high school students to pass college courses with lecture halls. Don't believe anything the NJEA tells you ... it's ALL self-serving propaganda. If NJ schools are doing such a good job, why are the 2 most attended freshman classes in NJ County colleges REMEDIAL language, and REMEDIAL math. Please explain that!

This is a tragedy, education is very important and we need more teachers and more good ones at that.
Hopefully things will turn around and the teachers will get their jobs back, our children are our future!

The level of education that is provided in N.J. is horrible, horrid and horrific. I went to school in Woodbridge Twp. I was born in 47. All those so called teachers were never interested in the children. It was just ABOUT making a pay check for all the first bunch of teachers they hired from out side of Middlesex county, they hated the working class because that is what they were from, no class and low class and not once did I ever hear why an education is important. I had to teach my self. Most of the teachers were unkind to the students and never wanted to explain much of what they had scribbled on the black or green board. They read from text books very quickly and would sit there buts down in their chair and give us busy work and ignored the class untill the bell rang. The kids that behaved were socaly promoted and the others left behind. It is real easy to divided the kids into groups that are politicly correct. Like the kids whose parents go to the P.T.A. and the ones who do not. The only danger is the parents who might say something about the ill treatment of their children like the P.T.A. people and to hell with the rest. N.J. is like an educational holocaust. The principals would be better placed incharge of reform schools. The teachers are like mostly all government workers everthing is a big ha ha and they are accountable to no one. If you think you are so great and wonderfull. I do not. So hit the road it has been a long time coming and you will be a long time gone. Just another bunch of three piece dirt bags. HA!HA!HA!
