please help me

Can someone please help me. I just received news that one of my best friends was found dead in his appointment San Francisco. I am having a hard time reaching his family who just left to go out there. I am in NJ. My friends names is Steve DiPalma. If anyone has any information about this or some names of a local newspaper I can contact, etc I would greatly appreciate it. Or even the number for the local Police. He was found dead on Saturday. I don't have his address because he had just moved. I beg you, please help me.

Hi Mary,
You have my most heartfelt condolences. I'm in the same boat you are. I was close friends with his two sisters for many years. I have not see Stephen since he was about nine years old, but I was still struck by news of his demise. I feel terribly for his family, as they were always very kind and sentimental. I can scarcely imagine how difficult this is for them.
Stephen's mother posted that the funeral is tomorrow (Thursday), but they will have a memorial service in Blairstown some time in early December. I have not tried to contact anyone in the family, but I will post if any additional information becomes available. Please respond likewise, and thank you.

Hi Mary,
I lived in the same building with your friend but didn't know him. His family put signs up for the memorial service tonight and I wanted to know who he was so I googled his name and found your post. I'm so sorry for your lost. I feel horrible for his family. The whole thing is awful. You can write me at [e-mail] for details.(I don't feel comfortable posting on a public forum.) I don't know much but I can tell you what I know.

Hi all,
I'm feeling strange about having posted the above comment since I didn't know Steven and I don't know his family. I can't take down what I already wrote so I am posting again to say, please be in touch with the family, or someone else close to them, directly. I don't feel comfortable sharing the paltry information I have about their love one who they lost since I'm a stranger to them, and I was stranger to him, and I don't know how they want to deal with his death and the grieving process.
The whole thing is awful. I'm so sorry.

Steve was my best friend through grade school but lost touch with him when I switched schools. If anyone has any information on how to contact his family please let me know.
