He should just get it over with and register as a republican and be honest about it.
This guy wants to have it both ways.
Hope people wake up and he loses next time around.

Who cares who Liberman endorses? What difference does it make. He is an idiot who couldn't get elected himself.
And although I like McCain, it is clear that the country, as a whole, does not want him to be president.

Did you forget Lieberman switched affiliation and did get elected?
He does more damage where he is now.

Get what over? Lieberman is a pretty solidly typical liberal Democrat with a single profound difference with his long time party over how they are handling the war in Iraq.

Domestic and social welfare policies tend not to align well with either current right-wing Republicans positions, or Goldwater Conservative principles.

Aren't the Democrats and Liberals the party and philosophy that's all about inclusiveness and diversity? Oh wait, forgot..."diversity" to a liberal means you blindly agree with them.

> He is an idiot who couldn't get
> elected himself.

Are you referring to his close race with Gore in 2000 that almost defeated Bush, or the last election he was in where he embarrassed the anti-war wing of the Democrats...by showing that a pro-war, liberal Democrat could win in majority Democrat state against an endorsed, anti-war, liberal Democrat.

There was a time I figured if McCain had been screwed by a right wing machine in primaries like 2000, McCain--Lieberman would be an independent ticket both parties would fear. I don't see it happening now, because McCain shot his own foot off with hiring poor executives on his campaign staff.

I meant his bid for the vice presidency.

That episode makes it is clear that he does not have national stature so who cares what he says about a national race. I could see the importance of him endorsing a statewide candidate. But he has no influence on the national stage.

Lieberman's influence means as much as a fart in a hurricane. McCain stands as much chance of getting elected as Rev. Al Sharpton does.

Lieberman's endorsment is meaningless. Joe only has passion for his state now. The only bad thing is his state is Isreal.

Who cares?
Why does Lieberman endorsing McCain get more news coverage than 50,000+ supporters endorsing Ron Paul and making political fundraising history?
Is the press stupid?

Joseph I. LIEberman cares about two things: himself and his home state, that is, the state of Israel. He wants to bring the US to war with Iran. Israel also wants the US to go to war with Iran so Israel becomes the superpower of the middle east. How convenient. LIEberman is a Bush-Cheney puppet. Shame to all those who voted for him. Connecticut, shame on us for voting JOE I LIE berman into office.

LIEberman is a traitor. Remember when he said he "wants a democratic president in 2008?" Now he is endorsing a republican flip-flopper? You must be kidding me!

With all the millions that Dodd is raking in from the Bankrupt Banking Mortgage industry that he was supposed to have oversight on, he can now retire and groom Ned Lamont the Multi-Millionaire to take his place. What a laugh..
What ever happened to Rep Larson? Has he been Thrown to the wolves?
The Lieberman-McCain factor is just more support for the bombing of Iran for Israel. Lieberman takes orders from the Jewish Lobby..Like Shumer,
Fienstien, and the other Israel loyalists.

Not a big surprise. The good news is McCain will never get the Republican nomination so the endorsement will be meaningless. If the Republican nominee wins in November, I bet that Lieberman accepts a cabinet position in the Republican administration whcih will allow Governor Rell to appoint a Republican (probably Chris Shays) to Lieberman's senate seat.

Also I bet that whoever the Republican nominee ends up being Lieberman will support that individual.

Oh my, the Lefty,anti-semitic, Lamont moonbats are really braying at the moon now. If Lieberman's,(the man you all supported for Vic-President in 2000) endorsement is irrelevant, what does that say about Lamont's? Where has mullti- million dollar Ned been anyway? Howl away folks, the rest of us are enjoying it immensely.

Horrible that Lieberman is okay with the destruction brought on America by Republicans, Republicans who took the White House in a stolen election in which he seemed to be neutral while supposedly running for vice president. Now he endorses McCain. People who voted for him in '06 should wake up. When the Dems gain seats in the Senate next year, he should be relieved of his committee posts and join the Republicans.

Because Ron Paul is a certified whacko and YOU are the one who is stupid. It looks like you've drank way too much Ron Paul Kool-Aid and it's time for you to come back to reality. The only place Ron Paul is making "political fundraising history" is in his own mind and in the minds of fools like you who will believe anything.

Ron Paul is a loser who is only pulling 3% in any real poll. The polls he and his nut job followers are manipulating don't count.
