It's time to get rid of present the mayor and board of aldermen. These people are incompetent and dishonest and should be removed from office. Not only are the streets falling apart but the city is falling apart. Who voted for the Mayor? What does he do as the mayor? What does the clerk do to justify her salary? Exactly what work is generated out of that dirty little building? The only thing you will see is your sewer bill, and it probably will go up, and for what? We have to pay for any repairs. Boy, they are having a good laugh at our expense, and we do not try to group together and change things, we just allow them to do nothing and treat us like fools. I tried to run for an office long ago and my paperwork was torn up and thrown away in front of me.

I assume you actually live in Oly Village, not St. Louis. You ought to run for office again. Part of the problem is no one wants responsibility for running that little monstrosity, uh, municipality, because it doesn't have the tax base to pay for basic city services that people expect. Remember Donald Duck?

This city should Disincorporate!! There are no city services of any kind. The tax money taken, what little there is, fills the pockets of phony jobs and a phony Board of Alderman. The Sewer Dept should be organized into a legal sewer district, like the water district. Plain and Simple!!

good idea, but the problem is it isnt big enough to have anymore homes on what there is there. The apartments are all it will take, and not many more new homes that are built in there. And you are right about the Links and Cassey. Its a hazzard for everyone that the stop signs are missing. If there is a wreck the city is in big trouble.

2-12-13 Is anyone who lives in O.V. paying attention? The sewer plant is NOT processing sewer waste!!!! We are paying $35.50 a month for them to line their own pockets. Does anyone know who we can contact?? The waste has to be going in the creek, please lets ban together and get something done. I also heard that the people in that building (City Hall) are doing illegal things???
I cannot believe all of us including me are paying our sewer bills and allowing these things to happen???? Someone please reply in this forum. Thanks.

If you mean it about the sewage and can prove it, I'd bet Missouri Department of Natural Resources' Water Protection Program (you've got internet, look it up) would care. They took over the $#!+plant in Hayti some years back. Then again the Haytians had a bankrupt municipality, no water and vomiting toilets. But even if it hasn't come to that in Oly Vee, if there's untreated sewage being discharged, someone ought to tell DNR.

my mistake, it was Hayti HEIGHTS. A city of 250 houses in one square mile on the edge of Hayti, MO was never gonna work.
