My wifes aunt and uncle owened the old hotel years ago and she can remember playing and spending the nights there and has said there was never anything that happened. The TAPS crew was on TV last night and pretty much told the owner nothing happened. The chains and lock that were laying on the rock in the bsaement looked pretty new to be used for slaves.

Of course they were not the original chain he was referring to the block of concrete in the middle of the floor. He is claiming it to be a block that slaves had been chained to in the past. From information I have seen the slave at this property were treated pretty well, and have doubts that they were ever chained to anything in the basement. It is more likely that the area he is calling the slave area was probably just a pantry since the cooking was done downstairs at that house. I will say that from experiences and evidence I have I do believe the place to be haunted, but everyone is a sceptic till they have their first experience.

That all made very little sense and seems to have nothing to do with the topic. So I find your comment hysterical.

I don't mean to trash talk but I think the owner (Patrick) is running some kind of scam. I personally email the hotel for a reservation, after sever emails they gave me a time and date and I asked if there was a later time we could have and the response was afraid not. Not very profesional at all. So I let my friend email them cause I had enough of it. They gave us a time and date we wanted (Originally in my email). We got there when we were supposed to and waited over and one hour and fifteen minuets. No one showed up. We finally called him at 3 in the morning and he didn't have an excuse for us. The next day he said via email he would refund us half the money and gas spent to drive out there. Thanks to Groupon we have all our mony back. So now all were out is gas and time spent and one guy gave away his shift at work to go. Bad experiance all around with him, I didn't give all the specifics but thats the just of the story. Sounds to me from this forum its not even haunted. I would have like to have seen for ourselves though. Very disapointed. I'm telling my friends to ask Groupon for their money back. Groupon was a wonderfull experiance and they are going to investigate Patrick.

We used to run tours and overnights at the hotel for the owner and have heard this and other complaints from guests since we stopped. I can assure you that while we ran things that never happened, but since we would not tell his history and stories opting instead to stick with facts he found a girl and her boyfriend that will to take over. He relies heavily on Groupon to book his events, and many have complained about the lack of email replies. Sorry you had a bad time is a interesting place!

Unseen Paranormal R & I out of Jeff Co Mo has 12 yrs experience talked to Patrick trying to get ahold of the previous owner over a different investigation altogether. He told them she was dead. Well she is alive. That prooves he is crooked and I wouldn't encourage antone to pay to investigate anything he owns. This is a "enter at your own risk". Sorry to hear these guys lost their money. The guy didnt return it all only half! Bad Business.

When we contacted Patrick about a refund, he only wanted to give us half our money as well. We went through Groupon and they gave us all our money back. I think they may have even compensated us, one of us did get compensated. Groupon is a 5 star company in my book.

Sorry but I disagree. Morse Mill has not produced paranormal activity evidence for alot of people that went there. The ones that claim they got something have really not been active in this field for as long as I have. That's not to say they can't get or find evidence of ghosts in an area but Morse Mill is nothing but a hoax. It's a cool building but it was bought to make money by saying ghosts live in it. UM, no. Ask any credible investigator if they caught evidence there and they will most likely say no and then ask the noncredible ones. I bet they got tons of evidence. lol Sorry to sound so blunt but these are the facts. Argue if you will but think about it first. You will see what I say is true.

the hotel is pretty cool for investigating but we all made the mistake of booking a tour type thing with some people calling themself a paranormal team. it was not worth the money and was a joke. the people leading this tour type thing acted like some type of experts and it was histerical to listen to them. all and all it was an amusing evening but a mistake to take a tour with this thing.

My mother and I bought the groupon and thought we could try it out and see if Morse Mill had anything behind its "haunting". I agree with griper we had the same experience. We almost started laughing in the middle of touring the hotel because the questions the guide was asking ex: "Sooo, do you not like it when I am walking over this way??..." then he would stare and wait for some response. We then asked the guide what he has experienced personally before (with the hotel) and he said "I dont know, I am not really into the whole ghost thing, it is my first time out here.." lol...As we walked the hotel once they let us go around alone we looked outside and saw a bunch of people just chilling and hanging out around a bonfire. Looks like a easy way to make a buck to me but still entertaining. The house also had beer cans and cig butts laying around the home so it seemed like it wasnt being treated like a historical site - not unless you want to pay 30 a person =) I wouldnt recommend to anyone not unless they want to walk around a dusty old house.

so i have been invesigating for 5 years and was at the hotel before it became as comercialized as it is with the tours and the guides and the number of gust to contaminat evidence it would be hard to say it was haunted with just one investigation but our group did multiple investigations and have good evp and personal expereances enough that i beleave there to be somthing there other thah just residual. im sorry i think had u been a guest of ours u could of heard and seen our evidence and possibbly captured some of ur own

My husband and I toured the building last night, and thought it was a great experience. It's a (creepy) old house with a TON of history. And we DID experience paranormal activity. Through the course of 2 hours, my right cheek was brushed against twice, a feeling hard to describe, but most like a cat's tail just barely touching me. And oddly EXACTLY the same both times. I also felt a brush of air on my left cheek, and a "poke" on my right hip. My husband felt like something touched the top of his head, but there were no cobwebs or anything above him to explain the sensation. We saw plenty of K2 activity and watched a flashlight dim, and turn off and on in response to questions. We'd definitely go back.

In 1011 A few of my friends and I did rent it out. I just arrived in the old hotel and took a tour before we did an investigation. I had my K2 meter, but left my voice recorder in the cellar where we stayed. I debunked the k2 meter setting off on the front side of the house due to power lines we rounded the corner and went into a room on the left and as I entered the doorway first I asked if there was anyone here that wants to talk. The k2 meter went all the way into the red. I then began asking other question and received responses. We found it to be a little girl. We have pictures of Orbs.
My dad lived in Morse Mill for a couple of years when he was between the ages of 15-17 and my aunt Vi and Vern and Mert Kirchner ran the morse mill bar.
So my Question is how old is Alice, the one that is supposed to be deceased? If they are talking about Alice Lee, the Lee;s ran the Post Office. My dad new them. My dad passed away in 2010 and would have been 71 this year. This would make Alice Lee around 101 yrs old.
My mom new Doyle Kirchner who lived across the river and his parents owned the bar.

It was featured on Americas Ten most haunted places, I just saw it last week. I can't remember what channel...A&E maybe. It was interesting. It said the female cook was a serial killer who poisoned people.

My grandparents owned the hotel and ran it as an AGAPE house (look it up) they were the last resodentd to actually reside in the house. I grew up there with them. They did the work God asked them to there. The welcomed in strangers, fed snd clothed them. Let them have a place to stay for merely helping with house keep. I am here todsy bc they took in my, at the time, homeless mother and their son fell in love with her. Then came me. This place was my home it will laways have my heart. Those bunkbeds built into the second to the right top bedroom, those were mine. They have teeth prints from me trying to pop out my loose tooth. It was 20 years ago today I came to live with them. I was 5, and stayed there growing up. With any old house there was experiences of weird noises and odd creaks. But I assure you nothing came of it. The house was used for Gods work in the hand of my parents. They couldnt keep up with maintaining it and their "funding" for their work dwindled away. If there is anything paranormal to be seen there it is possible it is brought from the ones finding it. I slept in the "pink" room(still have the antique furniture that used to be in it) I use it now. I slept in the "blue" room, "yellow", "green" room. Each room was a different beautiful theme. The biggest room behind the kitchen had chalkboard walls, my playroom. This home is not hauted by anything other than the ones bringing it in.
