I have seen the abuse by Casey as have many other people. There is no doubt about illegal termination and abuse by this mayor and the aldermen. I saw the break-in at city hall by the aldermen, and Casey! This city government should be removed from office and the city should be closed.
Let the Sewer Dept. become a Sewer District, and let Jefferson County handle the rest, such as Police and Roads. The "honest residents" deserve this!

Thanks to I agree. Aren't there more of you out there that would "like things to change??

Your opinion matters, come on let's see some comments. We can do this.

I agree with Better Way also, the government needs to be removed from office, and the city closed down, and unite with Jefferson County.

We have no protection the way it is now, think about it, and please reply. Thanks.

What good will it do to reply to this. It won't change anything. People have been complaining for years and still nothing has or will ever change. Talking & complaining will get nowhere, you have to get off your butt & do something. I would, but I have no clue where to even start something like that.
Thanks

Has anyone stopped to wonder about the snow removal this year? We had someone in here doing a good job and these new people ruined that. Just wait till the snows flying and nobody can get out. And the school buses wont be able to get in.

Here is a question for anyone with a GOOD answer. I was given a flyer yesterday, the Village is hosting a Christmas party, don't get me wrong I think it is a great thing to try to get our community to pull together, however, where did the village get the money for this? We have roads that are in horrible shape, and properties that look like hell, no snow removal(Yes, Ray did a great job regardless of whatever the hell happened to get him fired????), and yet they have money to rent a hall, and snacks, food, Santa????? Help me out, I am a little confused, annoyed, aggravated.

I took it upon myself to call and ask. We do have snow removal in here. There is a contract with a very reputable co. The alderman and office workers are buying the candy punch and cookies and goodie bags for the kids. the pizza is being given by the man who owns the bp station. santa costume is rented by one of the aldermen out of his pocket. the hall was worked out with the sewer bill so it is costing no money up front. just payment credit. the office workers have recieved many donations for door prizes for the adults. some of the food for the adults will also be supplied by the aldermen. another alderman is going to give the city the christmas tree. office workers will supply cameras for pictures with santa. the city will pay to get them developed. one of the residents gave some of the small things that will go to the children. so it will cost the city little money to have this party thanks to everyone that has worked hard to plan and give for this to happen. i dont see anything wrong with the city doing something for the residents and children for a change. i think it is well deserved. if you have a problem with it then stay home and let the rest of us enjoy it.

this is why the city has meetings. if you would have attended then you would know there is snow removal for the city. this was taken care of long before a party was planned. i think this is a wonderful thing they are doing. so why dont you try to attend the meetings instead of assuming and then you wont have to get yourself annoyed confused and aggrivated. just a suggestion. no ignorance intended.

Jerk, for assuming that I don't attend the meetings because I don't want to. Some of us don't have the 9 to 5 banker hours. I was not trying to rude in my question, and yet I get a very rude response, if you read it again, I did in fact say that I thought the Christmas party was a great idea. I was not just talking about the snow removal either, the roads are bad all around.

NO IGNORANCE INTENDED. it is the holiday season and not a time to argue. why cant everyone just accept that something nice is being done in here and stop throwing up all of the negative things for a change. however it is being done lets just enjoy it while it lasts. have a wonderful holiday.

Does anyone know "the name" of the "reputable" snow plowing company? Or is this strictly fiction again?
Please advise.
