My family and I loved living in a small Western Kansas town (Oberlin) BUT you still must have a job to support your family.

What do you expect, towns like Marion say they welcome new people in town but really don't. Local Banks wont do business with you because "you didnt grow up here" so they cant check on you. Its the small minded attitudes in these towns in Marion County that push people out, and with no real jobs to speak of people drive to Newton, El Dorado and Wichita to work. Its a no brainer, if you drive there you might as well live someplace closer. Yes the Schools as decent in Marion, but not to the extent that people want to subject their family to the small minded, small town BS.
