The "partner" is probably waiting to see just how bad the legislature gets shelled by public opinion before they peek out and proudly announce. Pathetic public policy from pathetic politicians. GOP and DFL,same ******** different week.

You are correct, sir. That's why I never get too worked up when I hear a rabid partisian going ballistic over some crooked bas turd making a sweetheart deal that sells her, or his constituents down the drain. They all do it all the time.

One reason that the locals are laying low is that they hope that their constituents will not organize and force a RECALL vote, such as what happened in Florida earlier this year over the Mayor giving the Florida Marlins stadium money.

Ramsey County officials should be very wary, as its citizenry has an eye on them, since the boards first order of business 2 years ago was the vote themselves raises, and the last year it was to raise their perdiems.

The stadium project should be 50% funded from private sources and 50% funded from public sources.

Including the pathetic Colts stadium deal, the last ten new NFL stadium built were 62% funded from private sources and 38% funded from private sources.

How Zygi came up with one-third the cost of an open-air stadium we'll never know.

Almost forgot... The new LA stadium that will eventually be the home of two NFL teams will be 100% privately funded and the new 49ers stadium in Santa Clara, CA will be 88% funded from private sources.

Over ONE THOUSAND homeless families in MN right now, and my tax dollars are going for this garbage?

These people are so disconnected from reality that it's sick.

Why would the citizens of Minnesota want to fund a 6th mega stadium – for 5 teams? They do not as 70% polled responded "no" to taxation for sports stadiums Considering the fact that 4 of the 5 teams have had attendance related issues during the last year – the Vikings had roughly 15,000 available seats for their home game at TCF – which means of coarse that there are plenty of entertainment venues seeking our dollar. No need to build more

Say no to publically funded stadium and yes to concentrating on the real issues ahead for all Minnesotans, such as education, health care, retirement funding and infrastructure problems.

Actually the land in Blaine, or at least some of it was sold to a private business that pays property taxes - which the vikings do not, as they have not paid rent at the Dome for a decade

Of all the sites currently in the running for the new Vikings stadium, the Arden Hills TCAAP site is the only one that make sense. It would convert 430 acres of un-usable land in its current state into 430 acres of job creating property.

Minneapolis and Hennepin County both refuse to make a responsible investment in a stadium that would have obvious localized for them.

Ramsey County is considering a strategic investment which could pay sizable dividends in jobs, commercial activity, and local tax revenues.

The choice seems clear with me...

No one cares about the fans who buy the tickets and pay the taxes.

Inactive legislators and local governments, greedy owners and players.

Let the Vikings leave, watch the NFL contract, and fans will lose interest, maybe even get a life.

"Peoples Stadium" according to Dayton:
An out of town opportunist named Wilf gets 100 % of the revenue.
The people get 30 years of higher taxes.
Some deal.

I'm as big of a Vikings fan as the next guy but I'm really starting to get uneasy about the Vikings leadership. They kicked Coon Rapids in the sack and now they appear to be kicking Arden Hills in the sack. To me, the Vikings are determined to have the stadium in Minneapolos or they are determined to relocate.

If they relocate, I'll be disappointed but I bet I find something else to do on Sundays!

They really are not disconnected, they are actually more connected then you think. Entertainment pacifies and the Vikings are entertainment. When you're pacified you don't think about the problems with your life.

You're one person thinking about 100,000 homeless families, having the Vikings around stops 1,000,000 other Minnesotans from thinking about it!

If we're not thinking about it they don't have to address it

My tax dollars going to support the chronically unemployed, the lazy, 1/2 the city of Gary Indiana, a couple hundred thousand baby mama's, and all the other democrooked liberal voter base is a bunch of garbage too. As the commercial goes...ITS MY MONEY AND I WANT IT NOW! When your people pay taxes---then they can have a say....but they have no right to my money, regardless of what your loony leaders try to program into your head.
