Having been married to a viet nam vet, I question these memorials to the vets every year. My vet is dead, heart trouble. agent orange contamination, but couldn't prove the day and time it happened, so, the life time health insurance etc. didn't happen. He died young. He came home a broken man, not in too bad of shape from the physical wounds, those healed, but the other wounds didn't. Those wounds passed on to his family, his children didn't remember Dad before the war changed him. From the first hopes of a wonderful life and family with a man I adored, to a life of grief and poverty. Oh, and the shame, don't forget the shame of all viet nam vets and their families, baby killers and such.
How many other women and children faced the same devastation of loss? And how many more have the same fate to look forward too? It has never seemed to matter as long as people pat their own backs each year and hold the services to honor vets. Is that a matter of honor or just guilt? These wars, in my opinion , are not begun to protect freedom, it's always about the money, the power and things I don't understand except to say, there is no honor in them.
I guess this seems very selfish to many, but how much sacrifice does our government demand? No one asked what I thought about losing everything for an unjust war. No one asked my children. I'm old, I'm tired. And I won't be at any memorial service to watch people celebrate war.

All the memorials are fine and dandy, but burn a rag if you have one. Stand up against evil.

I am very sorry to hear of your sacrifice and loss. I do not participate in Memorial Services to celebrate war or to give a "pat on the back" to justify war. I cant control government or terrorist actions but I respect and honor the sacrifice given by those such as yourself and your husband. Let us never forget and repeat the same shame given to Vietnam vets. Let us never forget the innocent victims of the 9/11 attacks and the first responders. I pray to God for all of the individuals and families touched by the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and for all of our armed forces and their families. I pray to God that the media would stop reporting stories to stir public sentiment for an alternative agenda. May God Bless you and your family and may you know that others mourn for your loss.

Is there a traffic block or restriction in Downtown area on Saturday? No more details for that.
How can I get such info?

Yeah!! Great idea! Let's put all of them in interment camps, just like we did the Japanese during WWII. Let's dehumanize people because of their religion, just like we did to the Catholics, I mean the Jews, I mean the Mormons, oh crap. I mean the Muslims.
Listen here here you sick jerk. You aren't funny. You aren't smart. You are clearly mentally ill and full of hate. If I wasn't such a tolerant person, I would pay you to meet you so that I could expand your world perspective... I mean your A$$ Hole. Sucker.
