how much sales tax did that farmers market generate every season...?...and how much city income tax did the markets sellers pay every season...?...not a god dam red cent! why would the city spend a couple few grand $$ onit every year...where did the money go?

r-u folks plannin' on somethin' catchin' fire..?..looks like you spent $25M+ on dat fancy fire dept..hired way to many cops to!

why was the city payin' for firewerkz anyway..? about wasting tax revenue....?....

Sounds to me like they made the cuts they needed to balance, more governments should do that.

why was the farmers market even costing the village anyways? Have the farmers set up there tables and sell their items. what else is there?
Fireworks should have been sponsored in the first place. There are enough businesses around here to have it supported privately.
As far as lay offs? Look a little deeper. Mayor, city manager. Do we need a village manager? Isn't that kind of stuff the mayors job? Are we that big? Street department really need that many supervisors to drive around doing nothing? Do employes really need to drive the village cars and trucks home? just some things to think about.
