I have to disagree with the young lady on the clip! The little girl should have not been at home alone. They could have hired a babysitter, left her with a neighbor, or asked a relative to stay with her.

I know the folks in that complex aren't rich, but they still could have gotten some advice or help with child care for the little girl.

There is no excuse.

THE WAY I SEE IT SOMEBODY NEED TO STAND UP FOR OUR CHILDREN.THIS MOTHER OR FATHER SHOULD BE HOLD FULL RESPONDABILITY FOR THEIR CHILD DEATH FOR LEAVING HER ALONE.MY PRAYERS ARE FOR THE CHILDREN ALL OVER THE WORLD.

That's the problem with today's parents leaving their children home alone at a young age. If you can't find a babysitter or can't afford one the parents should work opposite shifts. Children need guidance at all times, I feel for the family. When parenting you have to think about the what "If's" at all times. " Prayers go out to the family for their lost".

The mother is currently hospitalized, but the father can received exemptions on his tax statements; including the mother's medical expenses, travel cost to a second job, and child care expenses for the babysitter. He could have taken at least three more exemptions off of his check. He could have talked to the paymaster at his job or to tax experts about his plight!

He could even had went to Social Services to put the child in a publicly operated child care facility that would have included government subsidized help on his payments.

I presume he just did not know!

But God Bless Them Anyway!

I think the government needs to put more information out there for parents to know concerning family issues. Yea, that's a tough situation of the mother being in the hospital and the father trying to work, care for the children and worry about the mom in the hospital. That's a lot for one person, may God give him the strength to carry on.

I am sick and tired just sick and tired hearing about our young beautiful children dying when the situation can be prevented. It is urgent for family and friends to step in and help each other. I know times are very hard but It can be a little easier with the family and friends love. You cannot ever leave small children alone no matter what.

I was so blessed to had the family and friends support when I needed it when I was a young mother. I am now a grand-mother of three and I rather be there for my grand-babies then not at all. My doors will always be open for my family and friends that are in need rather they are single, married with children, elders or just not feeling well.

For the last couple of days I am thinking about what can I do or what can we do to get more information out or work shops to spread the importance to help save our young children. I wake up thinking about it and I fall to sleep with this on my heart and mind. I want to start something but not sure what it is right now but whatever it is it is heavy on my heart. I am ready to crash these terrible situations.

I feel for the family. This sweet little girl has died and went to a better place. However as a parent I understand that sometimes things get hard. But I pray for the family and their hospitalize mother. I wish the best for them.

God Bless Them.

You're right. It's not easy on parents and, young or old, they don't have all the answers. They can't always work different shifts and adjusting an already stretched paycheck doesn't always help.

I am truely sadden to hear of such disaster and troubles. While listening to all of the talks
of what has transpiered I only have one question.
How much can one family indure. With the mom already sickly and father tring his best. Unfortunately that question has yet to be answered. It's all that we can do is pray and stay
focused. For the time we spend on earth and with our loved ones are not promised. So I say, live
learn, laugh, love and most of all pray. As much as you can.

God bless

This is a very sad story. I feel for everyone involved. Unfortunately, it is very hard to make it out here for some people. And unless you are in their shoes you can't begin to understand their pain or what they go through. I know the child's father is killing himself over this...forever blaming himself. But he was doing the best that he knew how to do. He loves his children deeply. Please don't be so hard on him. It's easy to say what could have been done after the fact to prevent this tragedy. But the truth is getting help isn't so easy. And when there isn't family or friends around who can step in it's rough. Accidents happen even when parents are around. It only takes a second. And you only know that when you have your own. It's a tough world. People make cruel statements and have no clue about someone else's plight. Also, think about the other kids. They still need their father...he's all that they have right now.
