As a former church volunteer at this agency, I cannot allow these lies to continue without rebuttal. In the time I spent inside the facility, I saw hard working staff, albeit maybe somewhat inexperienced. But the atrocious behavior was on the part of the residents. These men have been given an opportunity to get out of prison early and complete a drug abuse program. Yet, they show that they are truly ungrateful for the opportunity that they have been given. Countless residents asked me countless times to sneak contraband into the facility for them - anything from a cell phone, tobacco, to hard drugs. I could not continue to give up my time to work with these men who obviously had no intention of doing right now that they are out of prison. The residents were disrespectful to staff at every turn, they vandalized and destroyed the property in the facility, they complained that they were required to clean on a daily basis. Apparently, they were required to clean up their living areas each morning and they complained about that - believing that it was the responsibility of the staff there to clean up after them. It seemed to me that these men would not be happy anywhere but a crack house - they complained about everything and painted themselves as victims - yet, they are criminals who have been handed an early release from prison. There were some men there trying to do the right thing, but those who were continuing their criminal ways seemed to overshadow the guys who were on the right track. Reading some of things that guys who have been at this facility is nothing more than disgusting. The staff have a very difficult job and the residents spend their day doing what they can to make their job even harder. Upon their release, they thank these hard working men and women by posting lies on a website - making themselves look like victims. It is criminal that anyone would allow them to post the blatant lies for the unknowing citizen to see and form an opinion about this agency. Anyone who chooses to work with offenders has to be a caring individual who wants to help - they are not doing it for the outstanding pay. Anyone on this website reading these comments - remember that the men who lived there are criminals and those complaining are still living a criminal life. Any of them who went through the program without trouble would have positive things to say. Unfortunately, people take the time to complain, but they don't always take the time to complement. Just take the information in with a grain of salt and keep in mind the source of the information.

I have a son in the program, and it is harder on him than jail, the SAP program is ok but all the drugs and disrespect from some inmates is really hard.

Hey, Jeff Kentman, even though your work was being ignored by some, wouldnt it have been worth it if you could have guided one or two lost souls.??

If anyone has some info that could help me, I would appreciate it. I have tried to call this place and my phone keeps saying I'm not allowed to dial this number. So, I can wait for somebody to stop by so we can try on their phone, but I would just like to know something fairly simple.

I would like to write a letter to a family member who took a greyhound bus to this facility a few days ago. If I write a letter, will they receive it --- allowed to receive it I mean.? Do I just write the person's name on the envelope and address it to cts russel on jefferson st, or is there a certain address for sending client mail? I appreciate if you could help me. I'd like to send out a letter in the mail on Monday. Thanks.

I have a family member in the program and the place is infested with bed bugs. The department of corrections is contracted with CTS and knows about the bed bug problem. The person that typed this post is probably Barbara Strahm director of CTS. Also, the staff is not feeding the parolees, inmates, child support in a drug program. looks like you read a book by its cover. They shut the phones down when everyone is misbehaving. They do not prepare real meat to the offenders. They have Chicken on Sundays and red blood is still in the chicken. Rumor has it that CTS is 8,000 under budget. they don't treat for the bed bugs...they use 50% rubbing alcohol and spray the beds down on Fridays. This place causes offenders to leave the substance abuse program. The health department needs to shut them down. Just telling the truth from a live witness inside behind the scenes. The news should be contacted too. One more thing, all the dryers are not working properly. One bottle of suave shampoo costs the offenders 6.00 each. This place is terrible for anyone. The place is crooked.

I have heard the same things. I am very upset with the state for putting my loved one in an enviroment like that and not caring about their health and wellness. Seems like all they care about is getting that money from the government. Who can you trust these days, no one. Not even the police or judicial system. It's their world when they have our loved ones in their so called programs. I am racist at police officers for all the crooked shit they have done. I don't even have a record. The judicial system is suppose to be there for our citizens...not to mistreat our loved ones that voluntarily said they would get treatment at Community Transitional Services. The government pays CTS and CTS does nothing for their residents. It's a hush hush operation with CTS staff, that are recovering addicts.... The parole officer will not even call me back about the messages I have left two months ago. Called three times. Was told by my loved one (the victim) that if you call down there and try to get answers the staff threatens to kick them out of the program. We'll, no one would be calling if the victims was getting treated correctly by the DOC policies and the victims have rights. This is the United States of America. red solo cup, Lexington, Ky
