I need recommendations for a great daycare for my daughter. I've been a stay at home mom and am getting ready to start working again. I want piece of mind while I'm at work knowing she's in good hands. I wanted to wait until she was school age to go back to work but I just can't wait anymore and am worried sick about all of the horrible things I've heard.

Why are daycares so cheap? How much do daycare workers make? Why do we trust our babies to low pay indivuals while paying the teachers so much to not educate our big kids?

I don't know where you get info on teachers pay. I've worked two horrible daycares in Shep an both paid minimum wage. I don't think any daycare is good for kids. Whenever i have any they will never be sent to one. Because they're all the same no matter what because the owners just hire people instead of hiring people who enjoy children.

I agree with you on our present daycares but that`s my point, why aren`t they better? I daycare my granddaughter but everyone can`t do that. My info on teachers is sketchy but I estimate they make 40-50K for nine months. I have two teacher neighbors who leave at 7:30 and get home 3;30 to 4 PM. and they`re home all summer and in Bullitt Co. our kids are not being taught. It looks like private school for my granddaughter.

I have worked at a few daycares and i have decited that if i ever have children they will go to the nazerene daycare. They truly care about the children. I have heard a few bad things about todays kids.

Today kids don't change diapers. I had to call state on them when i picked up my youngest with blisters on his privates. For kids only they are mean to the kids. I worked and quit there because they knee a kid in the ribs to make them law down for a nap. And tlc is a total wacky job.

Damn so true!! Make 30-50 thousand a year, ins benefits , ever holiday with pay, weekends off , 9 month work calendar ,and summers off. Sure they went to college, that's part of the gig. Still Kentucky is very low in test scores!!(By the way not just the teachers fault). Its some lazy ass parents fault too! That's what is wrong with some kids. Nobody takes a interest in them. Not all parents and not all teachers are bad. We must fire the asses of the ones that can't deliver the goods including school board all away down the line! As far as bad parents go they should be put in check too. Being a parent is not a 9-5 job it's 24/7 no holiday or breaks. Sure you can't see what their always doing but you make it your business to know their business !' They need a parent not a running buddy!!

It's a Shepherdsville address but it's more toward Brooks but Notebook learning center is one of the best daycares I have ever worked at/took my children to.

I love kiddie corral. And maybe if you didn't judge people by their looks you would know that Amy is awesome with the kids. My kids are only good for Amy! Maybe you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.......going by this site you will never get a good review here. The only thing people do on here is bash people and places. My kids have been at kiddie corral for two years. They love it and I would absolutely not trust my kids anywhere else.

I'm so sick of everyone blaming teachers for their children's incompetence. No I'm not a teacher but I still think it is completely unfair. It is YOUR jobs as parents to teach YOUR children not just a school teachers job. You're their parents! You're suppose to be their very FIRST teacher and their best teacher. You're with them a lot more than low paid teachers are. Its no wonder kids today are such screw ups instead of blaming teachers, television, video games, everything and everyone else step up and be a PARENT! Also blame the board of education as well and stop breathing down the necks of teachers who aren't paid nearly as much as they should be for dealing with your misbehaving brats you call children! Also I think the proper spelling for this word is 'individuals' not 'indivuals'.

We make 7.25 at most day cares unless you have been with one for awhile. And I think people should thank us for taking such low paying job so they have a safe place to leave their kids.
