I did not appreciate the disdain taken by the people we spoke to at the meeting Tuesday evening. They certainly did not plan to show any respect for any negative comments that we had. Our lives may be totally disrupted by this road and if not disrupted, there could be a good chance for loss of life due to the poor condition of the roads leading to the extention. All that matters is that some people are going to make a lot of money here and that is all that they can think about.

Please explain in detail how you figure "our lives will be disrupted" or there will be "loss of life". Your comments are an exaggeration!

Taking people's land by emminent domain for this project is just plain wrong. I live in Mt Washington and travel through the area. It would definitely make my commute shorter, but this is not a case where emminent domain should apply.

As I understand it, the source of the problem is really the traffic congestion approaching the Gene Snyder from South to North on Bardstown Rd. It's no picnic from North to South, believe me. But, many people coming North choose to use Cooper Chapel to zip over to Beulah Church Rd. The project is meant to straighten out the curves on Cooper Chapel and thereby make it safer. Correct?
I think it would be more cost effective and smarter to synchronize the traffic lights along B-town Rd. I live North of the Gene Snyder and starting around 3pm, B-town is backed up past the HS.
As I understand, millions of dollars are being spent to synchronize lights on other roads in the county (Dixie, Preston, T-ville, Shelbyville, but not B-town). Why not start with that?
