I am looking at Apartments and Townhouses in Ozark. Greentree seems reasonable but have been told by two different people reasons not to rent from them. It is the perfect location and price.. Has anybody got anything good to say about it? So far it hasn't been very encouraging. Hoping for good reviews...

The problem with apartment renting is, "Who will be your next door neighbor next month?" You just never know.
Never take anything for granted such as:
Friendliness or trustworthiness of your neighbors.
Personal security & personal property security.
How noisy the kids/stereo are of the people who live next door.
Write down every flaw you see on the inside when you first move in and take note of anything you are told about that isn't necessary to fix. Then take that list and mail it to yourself, but DO NOT OPEN IT until after you have given your move-out notice to your landlord and he returns your security deposit. If he/she claims you did the damage while residing there, you have something to back up your innocence. You can also mail a copy of that same document to 2 other trusted associates and ask them not to open it as well, but hang onto it in case you need it for future reference.
I liked helping my landlord by making up a monthly maintenance list of things that were showing signs of wear & tear. They actually appreciated something in writing I could give to them with every rent check to let them know when things needed attention, i.e. the garbage disposal stopped working, instead of just walking up to him and getting in his ear and grouching. Chances are they would forget about half of the stuff they are told anyway.
The bottom line is READ YOUR RENTAL AGREEMENT CAREFULLY before you sign it and plop down any hard earned money.

I rented this place just after we 1st got married and a while later my wife became pregnant. We had next door neighbors who were Vietnamese or from Taiwan or Thailand. Their cooking made my wife's morning sickness hard to deal with on days we had the windows open.
Our car got vandalized a few times and we put up with a lot of noise. I hated working 3rd shift. Something was always waking me up when I tried to sleep.

The most common things that get people thrown out of an aprtment is not paying your rent on time, property damage and having someone living with you that is not on the lease.
People think having an argument with a neighbor and telling the landlord will get the bad guy thrown out. if that was the case everybody would get thrown out. i dont like to rent cause I dont get along with others very well. Its nice to have my own place. Get renters insurance and take pictures of evrything you have. it's cheap and covers a lot
