Anyone know what is going up next to the bank by Walmart? I think it is a Capital One bank right there @ East/Spencer. Construction of bldg appears to be something of the fast food nature. I was just curious if anyone knew what is going in....

I read in the business section of the Houston Chronicle that Taco Bell, I think, bought land on the corner of Spencer Hwy and East Blvd.

We ate there and it was pretty good. The rice was a little dry. I liked the chicken and beef kabobs. The man that preapared the food was very friendly. I will eat there again. I want to try the greek salad.

I am disappointed that it is a Taco Bell. I would like to see more mom and pop restaturants. I love small towns with lots of "old family" type restaurants.

All this town thinks of is food!!
We need a mom and pop BAR. not those corporate run places that serve drinks,or where kids eat free, but a dark poorly lit BAR, a place where if you even bring up the subject of politics you would likely get a pool cue cracked over the skull bone, and nobody would see nothin. It would be owned by (the mom) a former stripper from Las Vegas and points beyond, her stage name being NIPPLES, her partner (POP) named DICK. Can you guess what the name of the joint would be?
And don't you folks worry about all the sinnin' that would be goin on, there's plenty of churches round these parts to absorb and absolve it.

Has anyone tried the Deer Feeder?

there should be a place in town to get healthy food quick instead of having all these fast food places that serve greasy fried food. most of us could use a change in our diet.

I have eaten at The Deer Feeder a couple of times now and found the food very good. Hamburger was handmade patty and fries were fresh and not frozen. The daily special was also good (a meat, 2 veggies, dessert, and drink at $8.99. My friend and I could have split it.
