How ironic. The small but vocal group of opponents of the proposed noise ordinance were able to get their way by making a lot of noise.

Pretty typical of how your government works to serve the few, against the interests of the majority.

The Haywood County Board of Commissioners are COWARDS and care not about health and safety to the childrenm men, women that have to live by Sanford & Son, rats, feces, snakes, drunks blaring music and cursing, but that is Haywood County and the Board.Residents that worked at the hospital were cowards and would not report hospital misconduct for so called fear of losing their job when others were losing their lives. COWARDS.

Health and safety were not the issues that the concerned citizens were squawking about...it was the part in the proposed ordinance that mentioned that toys could not be in their yards and that work materials like lumber, metal, etc. could not be left out without being under a structure. If the commissioners had any sense, they would have sent the proposed ordinance back to the planning board for revisions before ever introducing it to the public. That would have saved a lot of trouble on everyone's part.

Peacefulness is a basic human right. Excessive, intrusive noise of some should stop where others' ears begin. If we must continue to re-invent the wheel for the abusive and inconsiderate...let's do what is right.

there is no enforcement of rules and/or regulations. I have the right to peaceful surroundings, yet I listen to hound dogs barking all day and most of the night, even though local law enforcement and animal control have been contacted on numerous occasions and cannot/will not do anything about the situation.

So what are you saying, that I should be the one inconvenienced by relocating to get away from the noise which is infringing on my peace?

Fine, I think the people with the dogs should pay me to move, as well as compensate me for mental duress, devaluation of my property, etc.

Figure the odds.

Going though the same thing myself, makes you sick, what is the reason to have laws if you can't get anyone to enforce them. What do your taxes pay for. Nothing being done in my case either with these barking dogs :o(

I have the same problem in my Neighborhood with the Barking dogs. Had the Sheriff's Office out many time with no results. Rules and Laws are just something that lets the people breaking them get away with it.

Are you a native? If not, didn't you check out the neighborhood before buying your property? What kind of hound dogs are they?

"Mental duress"? "Pay me to move". HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW You were probably "mental" before you moved there. Have you talked to the dog owner in a NICE manner? Of course you haven't!
