Forney pastor facing sex assault charges

When will this alledged child molester be brought to trail? Has a trail date been set for him. We can discuss innocence and guilt but the Jury will be given that discision to make, That is unless he cops a plea for a reduced sentence! If they have the evidence to go to trial and it is convincing he will take a plea for a possible reduced sentence or maybe plea guilty to fewer cases than charged. It may be interesting to follow this one case to find out how tough that District Attorney is actually willing to be in this case, Will he be tough enough for the defence to squeeze the guilty conviction from the jury??

I attend Pastor Cody's church for a few years, and My daughter, Son in Law and children were faithful members since they were in Mesquite. Because the Church moved to Forney it has been too hard for them to go often, but still do from time to time.
My question to the person who says she is close to the young lady who has accused the Pastor of sexual abuse? Why was she sent to live with the Codys? Did she not accuse another member of her family of doing the same thing? And why did she wait 5 years to accuse the Pastor? When she left the home of the Pastor, his wife, and kids, why didn't she say something then? I think she has a true mental problem, and is in need of attention.

WOW......Have you been given some HUGE misinformation. She NEVER lived with these people and she has NEVER EVER accused anyone of this in her family. EVER!!!!

There are so many things that I wish I could say here but I can't because it's not my place and I didn't live through the nightmare. But, Ma'am you have been told rumors that are blatent lies.

Like I said before this girl is a memeber of my family and I am extremely close to her. I have been a part of her life from the first day God blessed her with us. She is an exceptional human being. Her life speaks for itself and if you knew her you would not even question it.

Mental problems, absolutely not. She is one of the most grounded people I know.

And one more thing for everyone out there.....The court systems are bogged down out there. Do you really think the prosecuters would waste there time taking a case through the court system if they didn't believe in it? If there wasn't some evidence? They wouldn't waste their time.

This needs to be played out in court; not on a blog by people that aren't even close to the story. Knowing someone, that knows someone, that heard something is hardly a reason to base an opinion about a person that you've NEVER known.

Luckily for me I've known both of the parties in this and I'm not just pulling things out of the air to say about someone.

Also notice that in my response not once did I need to ridicule the defendant to make MY point.

The reason it is lasting so long is that his defense attorney is probably delaying going to trail. Why did this preacher leave mesquite??

He left Mesquite because he got kicked out of the building he was in for non payment. He left FBC Forney for non payment, got kicked out of there too, not to mention all the money he stole from widows, and church families that he "borrowed" money from, not paid back, all to keep his "activities" going. But that is another case that should also be pursued, and prosecuted, theft in the name of god, little g, ie: Lester.

Just because you "hung out" with someone does not make HER a liar (correct spelling). I've known her since her birth and she is a model human being.

If you knew HER you might think twice about your accusatory statement. From you venoumous statement you obviously don't know a thing about her.

In my life I've spent plenty of time with people that I thought would never to do something illegal or immoral only to be sorely dissappointed.

Most of on this site know one of more involved in the case. I can get on here and claim I know all parties involved. I even worked with the youth when the girl was going there. I was pretty close to her at one point. I worked closely with the Cody's. I've seen all sides. Please everyone for the sake of ALL involved. Put your feelings aside and let this happen in court. The people involved have got to be so tired of listening to a bunch of petty bickering. It makes no sense. If you weren't there - how can you say for sure it did or didn't happen? I love everyone involved and I pray the truth comes out and there can be forgiveness and healing for all involved. No matter the outcome - all parties involved need our prayers for God to pull them through and make them whole again.

Steph, I am with you 100%. I too personally know both parties and this is just terrible for both of them. I can't even imagine the pain and suffering they have had to indure. It is so easy for every one on here to pass judgement. Lest we forget the teachings of Chist All Mighty, we too may find ourselves subject to that same judgemnt. The courts will decide here on earth but God will have the final say, so in the meantime let us all come together as TRUE Christians and pray for ALL involved whether we side with the prosecution or the defense. That answers the question; WWJD.
