According to the above links, Holly got life! Is there a chance she can get out early?

By the way, the links above look the same but the first is for Holly and he second is for Louie.

Such a shame.

Nobody's life is over! Some of us just have to start over again. Granted a felon has a bit harder of a time, but I know lots of then who lead a happy productive life. I'll be offering to help out in some way, for my buddy when he gets out. Best thing we can do for all involved is to pray for a speedy end to the mess, and for that fast re-start! Have a good day!

Brother of Matt wrote:
I have read all of the comments and am glad that there is a consensus that what happened was wrong. I am the brother who got the ransom call. I knew Holly from the past as well, but hadn't seen or talked to her in many years. This whole debacle should have never happened. I don't know Mr. Cotoio, but I will pray for him. It sounds like he may need lots of help, like Holly. Not to say that I am still not extremely angered by what they did to my brother, because I am, and I feel that they both need to face the consequenses of their actions. Knowing Holly, she definitely would have lied and manipulated to get what she wanted done. My family and friends are still in disbelief over this incedent. My wife is afraid to be at home alone and I will have to move now in order to try and alleviate some of her anxiety. I have just now started to feel normal and sleep better. As for my brother, Matt, he will never be the same after this. I've talked to him at length about what happened. It was a truly terrifying and painful experience for him. Feeling helpless, thinking about his family when he thought he was going to die, and the mental and physical anguish he suffered will be with him for the rest of his life. To those of you who have expressed your appologies, concern, and kind words, thank you.
Mr. Cotoio was told by Mrs. Patterson the you (brother of Matt) Raped Holly in her sleep and got her pregnant. Let that be the reason Louis acted like he did, being head over heels in love and all. Big Lou was a roomate of mine and would have done almost anything to help out almost anyone. Scott Patterson was also my roomate. In fact I introduced Holly to Scott. Scott would get pissed and want to leave the house, and Holly would go lay down in the middle of the street in front of the drive way so he couldn't leave, untill the police drug her out of the way. Holly is where she belongs! Louis isn't! He's another victom in this crime. SEE YOU IN 20 YEARS HOLLY!!!

As late as this post is, I was just reintroduced to this whole incident. My father was in jail with Louis for a little while there, and said that he was a very funny and sweet guy. I know Louis personally, he was my step father's best friend. Although I was very young when Louis was around, I know how sweet of a person, and great artist he was. I know after reading all of the posts on this case, that many people who knew Louis did not think that this was characteristic of him. All I have to say is people make mistakes. Sometimes really, really stupid, senseless ones. That doesn't make him a bad, or different person than he's always been though. Perhaps drugs were involved somewhere in this? I don't know, and it doesn't matter because it's over with. Hopefully Louis will move on, continue being an artist, and not date women with as many issues as Holly seemed to have had. I don't know Holly, but it seems like being in jail is where she needs to be right now. There are just some people who do things entirely for themselves without any care of the repercussions upon others. I'm just curious if she will really get the Life sentence, or if she did. On OTIS it says she has life, but those things always change, especially with the economy right now. I don't know if she deserves life in prison, I think that's giving her the easy way out. Twenty, thirty years would be best, then release her out into society. Maybe she'll be better.

Best wishes to Louis's family.

Having read all of this has made me wish that I had met Louis. Seems like one of the good guys who got caught up emotionally. It appears the situation moved to fast for him to bail out. Many of us have experienced this at some point. Then we don't know how to back out, or realize we should until it is too late. I am very impressed and touched that so many people who knew him have such positive things to say about him. However, there is another victim who suffered severely for the choices made. Nothing
is ever black and white. My heart goes out to all of them except Holly. What a disgrace to the female race! I found this information while trying to do genealogy on my family. It turns out he is related to me. Anyone know where he is being detained?

You are amazing! How many people on here commented and did not know either of them. Perhaps Lou's moment of loss of control and lack of judgement in character was inherited from you. In case you hadn't noticed I have not responded to any posts on here in about 4 months, until today when I saw your rude comment to me. Its too bad you are so angry. All I read about you on here described a different person, but people have been known to feel pity where none is deserved.

I was on the computer and this just popped up while I was researching something else. Can it be possible that years have gone by. Lou and Holly are still in jail. Their lives are changed forevermore. The lives of all who love them will never be the same. When Lou is free. He will have to start building his life all over again. He is a different person . Life has not stood still while he has been gone. My heart just breaks. Life seems to be smashed into little pieces.I, myself have become estranged from virtually all of my family, so I don't know how Lou is doing. My hope and prayers for him and his future.

Is Louis now out of Jail?

If he got a top sentence of 5 years, and that was 5 years ago now. Was thinking he'd get out a bit earlier for good behavior.

I saw this:
Louis Cotoio #716545 $302.05
The claimant (11-SAB/DOC-399) requests $302.05 reimbursement
for his hobby craft items lost while under control of the
Department. The Committee recommends approval of this claim.

So, he's making art in prison. interesting. the life he must've led/be leading is crazy. I hope he's not a total f-up, I haven't seen him since 1994, so who knows.

Well, I just did some searching and found that Louis has been released from prison and is currently on parole.

I'd love to get in contact with him.
