Final weekend for female spin on 'Odd Couple' in Hartland
<![CDATA[The Hartland Players Main Stage group presents "The Odd Couple -- Female Version" for one final weekend at the Hartland Music Hall, 3619 Avon St. in Hartland Township. In this reinvention of Neil Simon's famous play, Felix and Oscar become Florence and Olive, the slob and the fuss-budget who decide to room together with hilarious results. Olive is a divorcee who freely admits to being a slob and says she leaves a mess when she reads a book. Fussy, prissy neat freak Florence is near-suicidal because she's just broken up with her husband. The play opens in Olive's apartment with a group of friends playing their weekly game of Trivial Pursuit. Friends Mickey, Renee, Sylvie and Vera worry as they wait for the distraught Florence. Meanwhile, Olive had set up a date that backfires with the Costazuela brothers from upstairs. Performances are set for 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Reserved seats $10 for adults or $8 for seniors and students at the main branch of the Cromaine District Library in Hartland Township and via the ticket line at 810-632-5849. Tickets will be available at the door if not sold out.Full Story
