Tired of getting ripped of by tree services?

Every piece of equipment, i.e chipper, bucket truck..
--- Crane Rental
Every crew member, 2-5 guys...inevitably one standing around

Your paying for them when you dish out thousands of dollars to remove
a few trees.

They charge you to remove the wood, and sell it for profits.

Lucky for you, there is another way!

Would you be interested in getting the work done at 1/3 the price?

See what New Jersey is raving about at our website njclimber!

in regards to being ripped off im sure you got a few estimates before you hired your tree company and im sure you looked into the cost of the equipment that was brought to your home to take your tree down correct.

few facts

1- tree service pay the highest workers cpmp raye in the country.

2- if you had a bucket truck , chip truck , chipper, and stump grinder at your job that should not have been to expensive of equipment.

chipper 40,000
bucket truck 50,000
chip truck 35,000
stump grinder 20,000
lets not forget about the saws and ropes fuel and liability insurance cost
oh ya income tax

oh i forgot about all the manpower who just stad around and watch the robotic equipment do the job.

how about the 2 months of snow that the tree company cant work in but still needs to pay bills.

get a life ,

I called 4 differant tree companies in Sussex county. All 4 were qouting the same job..All 4 had basically the same equipment and insurance.
But each one was no where near each others qoutes.
One company qouted $2500 to take down a tree, and then each other company went up $1500 each.
The last tree company wanted $7000 to take down the same exact tree.
I guess it pays to shop around...

Some companies charge by how much work they have. They really need work, cheap price. They really do not need the work, really expensive price.

All good posts. We always charge our jobs the same way. If you truly want the lowest price skip the estimate and book via email. I offer huge discounts if I don't have to spend money and resources at acquiring the work. And if your really looking to save we offer drop n cut service. We get it down and cut it up, you deal with the rest.

i am not trying to sell myself like Njclimber, but i think the previous comment on the cost of machinery was really light. this is what we paid for our equipment

try $140,000 to buy a good USED bucket truck
$75,000 new chipper
$80,000 USED chip truck.
$35,000 USED stump grinder
at least $20,000 in other eqiupment.

thats $350,000 in equipment for the job that has the highest insurance rates.

this is one big reason tree work is expensive. let alone everything else.
ps. anyone who says they don't even need to do an estimate is going to rip you off. no tree guy in their right mind would say that.

and to take wood means another truck. another driver, more resources. and who makes a lot of money off of firewood anyway?

True, there's no money in firewood unless it's all you do and you get it for free. Good posts tree guy, it's extremely difficult to achieve good profit margins in this business.
