Go to the meeting and ask questions I have many family members in different unions and two of them are sitting home at the age of 53 with a nice pension the other one is 53 and will be retirement in 4 months its the best thing they ever did and yea they had there dough tees but today there glad they joined the union I yea my wife and aunt belong to the same union and are very happy no one can control them or there money only they can there selfs and as far as the union I vote yes it's for a better life as well people I mean if gas goes up do we stop driven no so the dues we pay to the union are worth the safety and future of our life and jobs its gonna be ok workers we have a great team off negotiators on our side that will fight for a good contract and remember nothing's final in a contract until we the workers vote on it and agree and it's true we don't pay dues till that contract is final if we don't like it we just vote them out no money involved just please give the union a chance people it will work thank you and hope to see ya at the meeting

SEIU is not OUR union!!! Our union is 1199seiu Heathcare East!!! The union on those posters are not affiliated with our union. Also Strikes are a rare occurrence. The union cannot make you go on strike. In order to go on strike it must be voted on by the staff. Please come to the meetings or contact a union rep (or salesman as AdvoServ puts it. Smh) and learn the FACTS!!!! Or simply speak to the right staff member who are educated on the matter.

Come on new was to good to be true breakfast for free not to say thanks for the hard work but to vote no I new it was to good to be true what about stontown and king and Rucker they didn't get a breakfast o that's part of the fair treatment plain we have here well Kim has nothing to do with it you using someone to do your dirty work well I see the big picture now still no money and more shitty bonuses good job liers I was a no but a couple of us got the truth now and I hope the rest of you do we're are now voting yes thanks admin you made this easy now hope your proud please people I changed my mind get the facts it's all a joke to them I'm a yes now it's my say

Advoserv administration is the WORST! As far as staff is concerned for the Central NJ location, but sure anywhere else..it has it's days. There have been staff fired for abuse and neglect but there has been those who remained on board even after stealing medication. So it's really up to the Director now regional director on who stays ad goes. Advoserv administration do not care about client safety nor staff. During Hurricane Irene houses in Bridgewater NJ lost power and water for two weeks...DARREN REFUSED to put clients in hotels or elsewhere until power was restore. So they basically stayed in a house without a working toilet and without lights once it got dark. I was disgusted and called to file a compliant with the state...nothing was done. As of lately they have been getting more aggressive clients for the sake of money, putting other clients and staff at risk. Staff isn't the problem administration is!!!

I worked there any every negative thing they say is true. They hire people with records the clients food is eaten by workers. Not to mention the sexual abuse that is going on in that place, its really ridiculous. When I left a child had his hand broken, the sad thing is that some of these kids dont have family to stand up for them. Someone needs to do something for real

I agree darren knows of this complaint we had first hand and suspended then brought back the abusive two employees i discuss on this thread and the state knows and dont care

Prime example of the class of an AdvoServ employee. Any employee regardless of the shift that says they've never witnessed mistreatment, neglect, abuse, is a liar. Anyone who wrks here also know that the cameras do not record ad for observation and in DE they come on for a few mins...fill out a paper and that's it. I've gone all day plenty of days without an single person chiming in on the Cnow system. They get on as a requirement but they dont do anything. Most times the Cnow checks are more about making sure staff aren't on te phone or sleeping....and we all know most everyone on overnight sleeps. Since I've been here I've seen people sleeping on every shift including supervisors.
Kids are "taken down" way too often and unnesssarily. Behaviors are instigated by staff and teachers all the time. Another big thing is for staff to put kids against one another. I've seen on several occasions valued staff tell another student to beat up another child for them and in return they'd give them candy or some other privilege. The biggest problem is the over all staff culture here. I was told by my supervisor straight up "don't try and change things or make waves, its the culture here and if you don't like it you should leave" my résumé is out there. Can't wait to leave. The pay sucks, I never know when I'm gonna get to leave because any time someone calls out you are forced to stay. This happens several times a week an they reqllydont care if you have a life outside of them. Te worst place I've seen is the day program in Middletown DE...kids and an elderly woman is kept in a small trail or that smells like piss and shit with nothing to do. They put the low profile kids here. The high profile kids (which means there parents have money or are super involved ) get the best care....when their parents are coming that is. Memos are sent around to make sure the kids hair and teeth are brushed and has in his better clothes...this must be done because otherwise his teeth and hair may or may not be brushed. I feel like a ba person since I've started wrking here even tho I don't abuse anyone at all. I do report what I see and keep personal records of stuff, but I'm scared of what will happen if I try and be a hero.

The major problem with Advoserv, that I've noticed in my time working there, is the systemic greed that ownership/upper management have. Every resident is just a number, a dollar sign, a bottom line. They try to expand to bring in more of these developmentally disabled cash cows, and in doing so, create immediate staff openings that they need to fill via any means necessary. Unfortunately for the residents, this means hiring people that are wholly unqualified for the job. Uneducated, drug addicted losers that couldn't get hired cooking french fries at McDonalds are being hired to feed, bathe, clothe, and care for human beings that can't or won't do it for themselves.Any doubt to these claims can be proven by simply reading the illiterate gibberish posted by the employees above me. Advoserv pays next to nothing, with no real benefits, and unfair, forced overtime. Admin does nothing to alleviate familys concerns. Morale is low among employees and most adopt an "I just don't care anymore" attitude. This leads to neglect, indifference, theft, and downright abuse. There is ZERO incentive for someone such as myself with an education, and a desire to help others to take a job at Advoserv. The abuse, accusations, and hostility is simply not worth 11 dollars an hr. They only hire one PC per shift that somehow needs to cover two or three houses at a time. They cannot be everywhere at once. The Program Director was recently let go for alleged grand larceny. Management needs to be entirely re-hauled and the hiring process MUST be stricter. No more high school dropouts with no experience. ENTICE the people you need to work here and you will get them. If upper mgmt would slash a few dollars from their bottom line to attract educated, experienced, dedicated employees, this entire thread would never even exist.

You need to keep records and look for a whistleblower atty and see if he will take your case it could not only help the residents but give you some funds to get you out of this place and on to something where you dont feel so bad
