A lot of what has gone on the past years is a reflection of the economy and real estate market in general. The place was primarily a resort community, people chose to make it year round homes. The dues are clearly high and room for improvements, but look at some other places out there, rent is high. a condo can go for a ton in some lesser communities. I am sure there are legitimate and legal actions one can take to investigate spending. The place is not A run down community or projects in a poor crime ridden neighborhood in slum projects. if you never visited one you should. Plenty in the tri state area. If you want an eye opener, please do.
Every business has politics and entities that influence them and control their actions to some extent. Every situation is different. Things compound exponentially. There are different situations out there and it may not always be a straight line. Blaming one person is an easy way out. There was a old comedy movie that reminds me off this forum. Idiocracy "stand up, lead or get out off the way"

If you are hearing from Herrick and Feinstein, then you are one of the deadbeats that owes thousnads of dollars in unpaid maintenance fees. Changing board members won't get you off the hook. Pay your bills or move and stop complaining about things that you helped crfeate.

Been through this entire topic just trying to figure out what the potential maintenance fee could be for renting - it seems like it was reported at $250/month sometime early in 2013 - is it safe to assume that's the current cost or did rates increase?

It is currently $265. New fiscal yr is in april or may. Rates will most likely increase.

Anyone reading this thread trying to get a sense of Great Gorge Village be warned - there are a lot of PATHETIC COMPLAINERS who have nothing better to do than trash it and destroy their own property values. The village is a lovely place with an incredible view, resort facilities, and terrific value. There is an ongoing issue with ownership of the sewer system that is real and legit, but most of the things people are complaining about here are a joke. The real world is not a perfect place and GGV is a much, much better place than most residences in jersey, much less the rest of the country or the world. The snow gets shoveled. The streets get plowed. The garbage gets picked up, and broken stairs get fixed. Plus we have Minerals and Mountain Creek at our finger tips. If that's not good enough for people, they should just move. But they won't. You know why? Because they can't get better value anywhere. When I tell friends what we paid for our condo, or what the rents are, they're like "What's the number of your realtor? I'm moving there."

You have no idea what you are talking about. I am willing to bet that you can't name one particular instance where a resident had a story made up about them to bully them which is why you are only tossing around vague (and false) accusations

And am curious to see if there are any like minded people that have had the same problem with the individual by bringing up the topic. Why don't we all decide to stick to facts and stop the finger pointing BS. I happen to like it here. My family and I have been residents for 15 years and have lived in NY, CA, and other towns in NJ prior to coming here. Try to find a living space that is even equal to the value and beautiful location anywhere in the tri-state area . . . Let us all know, and please give give us just the FACTS. Thanks.
