Program lets local high school students earn college credits

Newton and Vernon high schoolers soon will be able to get more bang for their education buck, thanks to a $20,000 grant from the state of New Jersey to pay for an expansion of Sussex County Community College's concurrent education program.

Here in Florida we've had dual enrollment for years, if you have a A in any subject you can take that course at the local community college, all credits apply to the college of your choice.
