Their ALL hypocrites! Good place to raise your kids. Crime rate is unbelievable low. But as far as the parents of theses kids around here, they go to church then commit sin after sin. Nothing wrong with beleiving in God, but what is wrong is, these Catholics believe if you got to church and repent your going to heaven.

I completely agree! Catholics are the worst because as long as you hit up that confession it is all good! Highland is a good town though. I believe in God but I also believe that it is what is in your heart is how you are judged. The Catholic church has been corrupt since it's beginning but they are very good at brainwashing people, seems very cult like to me.

I agree with you but I know many people in Highland that belong to other churchs and they are just as bad as any of the Catholics. Everyone just holds the Catholics to higher standard. Not right but that is the way it is.

Keep god out of highland! Keep god out of highland! That's the leader of your catholic cult. Jesus started it. 2,000 years ago... Oh wait isn't the earth millions of years old...?
And why does is seem that in every religion the "higher power" is killed... Dead for 3 days or so... And ressurected.. Somethin smells fishy

You can go to church 3 times a day, that is Not going to get you heaven. It's believing that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, and accepting him as your Personal lord and savior. Catholics are not held to higher standards where I live.

if the hypocrites keep u out of church, then your the one who is looseing out, jesus die for me can you think how much he love us, would u give your life for someone, someone u dident even know, well would u? the lest we can do is show him how thankful we are by going to church..........besides those hypocrites will be judge by a much higher power than man they will have to answere for their sins just make sure, when you leave this world u got your life in order.

I am fairly certain, ccisabitch, Jesus would not have died for you because of your horrible spelling and grammar. If you are passionate about something do it correctly. People think your point is less valid otherwise.

Also, going to church cannot get you into Heaven. Going to church just keeps you out of trouble for said amount of time. Or it is a garbage dump for people to talk about their neighbors.

Maybe I have a bad experience, but putting my faith in Christ has not provided me any safety or well-being for my family and friends. I now live by "you get what you give." Do onto others... Pay it forward. I couldn't be more happy or healthy.

Church attendance will not get a catholic into heaven, unless he puts money in the offering plate. gotta pay for all the lawsuits the pedophiles have caused. nothing like a catholic church being anti abortion and birth control but for butt sex with little boys. guess they don't need birth control for that

Believe what you want, but follow the golden rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

i guess all those boys that were butt banged and forced to give oral by priests should now follow that golden rule? the families and lives destroyed should also live by that rule? the women that seemed counseling and were taken advantage of by priests need to live by the rule? get real. truth is money buys god in catholic church

A religious town? Ha! Yeah there's tons of churches & people pretending. When it comes down to it, these so called 'pretenders' r judgemental, snobby, racist, 2 faced, hateful and cruel especially to people that come to this town. Like anyone not born & raised here isn't worthy of setting foot here. I've lived here with my 2 small children since 2004 & have seen a lot & what saddens me the most are the snobby parents teaching their children to be as low as they are. Where's the religion in that? I pray for everyone in this town cause I feel so sorry for most here with how angry inside they must be or somethin cause how can so many people be so cruel to people if they don't even know these people? I pray mostly for the children bein taught these terrible ways. I originally moved here cause I was told the schools are good & the people. Well I was told partially wrong then. We are goin to be leaving soon but not soon enough! My oldest child feels the same way. Religious town? Well if it is, then they need to learn what religion is and how to follow the lord cause this isn't how its done!
