On June 6th,2013 I was opening the door to my van coming out of the Highland Heights Dollar Tree next to Dunkers Sports Bar and Grill, when a skinny, blonde, white, trashy, and probably in 40`s - 50`s woman walked up to me and asked for about $3 because she lives in the Beechmont area and doesn't have enough gas in her boyfriends truck to get back, she claims she is going to the closet gas station to get gas, so me being nice gave her $5 feeling bad for her. My 13 year old son stated to me i should follow her cause he didn't trust her. We followed her as her, her son (who is not even 5 years old), and the boyfriend(who is driving) pull into BP by Big Boy and do not go to a pump, but park behind Big Boy and the lady walks into the BP and buys cigarettes!!! I was frustrated and followed them as they proceeded into the Ft.Thomas area. By this time I was on the phone with 911 reporting this and their license plate number which is FXC3042 and has ohio plates in a big black and white chevrolet diesel truck. They turned into the Ft.Thomas Shell gas station and turned around and we got stuck at a red light and lost them, please let me know if you have had an experience with these disgusting people! May I also say the lady told her 4 year old son to show me the middle finger? Just plain disgusts me!

My hubby had a similar encounter. He was at a gas station pumping gas when someone approached him and asked for $5.00 for gas. Hubby called the bluff by offering to put $5.00 of gas in the guy's car using our credit card. Guy shouted some expletives at my husband and drove off.

I also had a man approach me for gas money in the Target parking lot in Newport. I went back in the store and reported it to the store manager. Pointed the guy out on the lot surveillance camera and security personnel handled the situation.

Im not saying this has happened around here, but you never know, and please pass along to friends and family, esp. young girls. You can never be too careful and it can happen anywhere at anytime when you least expect it.

> A friend stopped at a pay-at-the-pump gas station to get gas. Once she filled her gas tank and after paying at the pump and starting to leave, the voice of the attendant inside came over the speaker.. He told her that something happened with her card and that she needed to come inside to pay. The lady was confused because the transaction showed complete and approved. She relayed that to him and was getting ready to leave but the attendant, once again, urged her to come in to pay or there'd be trouble. She proceeded to go inside and started arguing with the attendant about his threat. He told her to calm down and listen carefully:
> He said that while she was pumping gas, a guy slipped into the back seat of her car on the other side and the attendant had already called the police.
> She became frightened and looked out in time to see her car door open and the guy slip out. The report is that the new gang initiation thing is to bring back a woman and/or her car. One way they are doing this is crawling under women's cars while they're pumping gas or at grocery stores in the nighttime. The other way is slipping into unattended cars and kidnapping the women.
> Please pass this on to other women, young and old alike. Be extra careful going to and from your car at night. If at all possible, don't go alone!
> This is real!!
> The message:
> 1. ALWAYS lock your car doors, even if you're gone for just a second!
> 2. Check underneath your car when approaching it for reentry, and check in the back before getting in.
> 3. Always be aware of your surroundings and of other individuals in your general vicinity, particularly at night!
> Send this to everyone so your friends can take precaution.
