Who deleted it? I read it earlier this morning. Only people that got called out were a mother not paying attention, babysitters and a ginger kid.

Sounds like a lot of people have hard feelings for this woman. Im wondering if thats is because she watched children and treated them poorly? If she indeed doesnt file or report that as income, its very unfair to all citizens that work in the us. Even for the parents of the kids she watches. They have to pay taxes while shes babysitting tax free. They should at least get the child expense credit. She is going to piss off the wrong parent and they will turn her in. Maybe its time that should be done. As far as the moped goes, certainly the boy's father has some in the wearing of a helmet. Maybe he should talk to the mother about how unsafe it is

It should be noted that the Fort Thomas Police are VERY aware of the situation. At most there are 3 patrol units out at any one time for service (occasionally more on some few occasions) coving over 115 linear miles of street. If a cruiser in responding to a call for service, they will not stop to deal with a moped/scooter violation. The call for service (not all requiring lights and siren) are priority.
Manufacturing moves ahead much faster than the law changes. As we know, law changes only at request of the constituents who bring the issue to the attention of legislators. Some 50cc and lower bikes are capable of going faster these days due engine improvements and transmission improvements, however, unless actually clocked at over 30 MPH there really is not probable cause to stop one and check unless another violation is observed.
Note to the one Commenter, they are NOT required to have insurance. Yes, it seems silly, but it is the law.
Officers observing these bikes with 2 riders are getting stopped and advised, and the prosecutors office is asking us to charge with Careless Driving for second offences (and yes we track that). Just because the bike is built for 2, does not make it legal to ride 2. Keep in mind, MOST of these bikes are foreign built and sold throughout the world were 2 riders are permitted.
Per the Campbell County prosecutors office, there is no such thing as a literal "Moped License". To operate one you must have a drivers license, or a drivers license learners permit (aka temps). Yes, many of the kids riding look younger than 16, but unless they look ridiculously young, it is hard to use this as probable cause. There is no way for all 22 officers to be made aware that certain young looking drivers are actually 16, thus we board on harassing them constantly stopping them for age check. Much like it is with motorcycles and automobiles, officers must observe a violation or have probable cause for a traffic stop. Hunches and suspicions are not enough.
The Police Department is working on educating these riders, but it takes time. Knowledge and help from parents and guardians that provide the permission to their children to have the bikes is probably the biggest help.

Well, Brad, since when are u 16 and licensed? Your mother is so nosey about what goes on with everyone in this town, but doesn't even know what goes on w/ her own son. I hope you didn't get hurt or bumps or bruises on that moped, b/c we know how she thinks she can explain everything. I have a best friends who's son Sandy used to babysit. This little boy was VERY active and quite frankly, he didn't sit around the house all day and nap, which pissed her off. SHe would question the mom every day if this child got a bump or bruise, and basically insinuate that the child was abused if he had a bruise. However, some kid broke his foot while under her care, at her house!! The mother ended up taking her son out of her care where she told the grandmother she was concerned this child was being abused by his mother, b/c he had a bruise on his leg. Sandy grabbed this child away from his mother one day, while the mother dropped him off there to be babysat. She yanked his arm and pulled him in front of his mother. From what I understand, the child never went back. Also, Sandy, you might want to remove all of the beach towels from the front of your porch. It is a give way as to how many kids you have there. WHen you have 10 beah towels each day on your porch, obviously, you have more than 2 kids there! at least put them in the back of the house. DUH!

haha i, sounds like you have nothing going on in your life that makes you happy. It is sad when people are so "into" whats going on in other people's lives. I suggest you get professional help. Talking to a child on an open forum about his mother is totally unacceptable. It should not be allowed. Instead of using all your energy on being so negative, why don't you put it somewhere positive. There are plenty of places you could volunteer at to help others that need help. You will get far more out of life when you do something positive. Best of Luck

I have heard lots of negative comments on here. This "sitter" must have really upset some parents. I have heard her name around town. I have heard she is very nosey and gets into everyone's business, and that is why people take their kids out from her care. She wants to tell everyone how to take care of their children. She accuses parents of not watching their kids, having "dirty" kids, parents that don't care about their kids, parents who don't care about each other, etc. You drop your kids off every day to someone who YOU are employing. Sounds like this "sitter" forgets that all of these children that she "watches" are her employers. Without them, she might actually have to go get a job and pay taxes like Americans do! She should be thankful to these people for employing her, not making ridiculous observations about the employers' families, etc. At any time, her employers could turn her in for not being honest and truthful to our government about her receiving pay for what she does(or lack thereof.) Has anyone turned her in yet? I just can't believe it.
